Hi, and welcome back to the 2008 4th Annual UltimateDisney.com Movie Awards! Many of you submitted nominations, which were tabulated and resulted in the finalists below. Of the nominees that follow, one in each category will be elected by you, the UD community, as a winner.

You may vote for one and only of the following finalists in each category. Please submit all votes to awallaceunc@gmail.com. Please make the subject of your email "UD MOVIE VOTES 2008". Any votes submitted on the message board or through PM will NOT be accepted.

You have until 11:59pm (Eastern Time) on Wednesday, February 13 to submit your votes. A thread for assigning presenters in the awards ceremony will be started soon.

The number of nominees in a given category was determined by the number of nominations submitted for that category, with 5 being the preferable number of finalists in any given category (in the event that either 4 or 6 had to be chosen, 4 were chosen for lesser categories, and 6 were chosen for more substantial categories). In the event that either 2 or 9 nominees had to be chosen, 9 were selected in major categories only.

I quite agree... this is by far the most diverse and most informed set of nominations these awards have ever had. I was pleased too!

Although I'm not really a member of UD anymore and only post once and a while to announce Indy 4 news and make snarky remarks anymore, and didn't even bother participating in nominating this year, I sent votes just because there seemed to be a shortage and would like to help. That, and to try to regain the fun spirit these forums once had.

But I must say, what's the world coming to if a Disney site of all sites nominates Wild Hogs as "Worst Movie of the Year"?

I just sent in my votes. I hadn't even looked at the nominees previously, since I figured that I've only seen a handful of 2007 movies, but I used my best judgment!
