Lighthousemike posted this in the Aristocats DVD preview thread:
So, what is it?

The Aristocats or The Aristoc
rats?

Can anybody tell me why in the beginning credits they have The Aristoc
rats?

Is this a mistake or was it intended?

I haven't seen the movie yet so that is why I don't know. Let me guess the "r" disappears leaving Aristocats. Is this what happens?

Correct! It's sort of a play on words, but yes, it says Aristocrats, and then I believe the kittens get rid of the "r" to leave, The Aristocats.

Aoow. I thought this was going to weigh the pros and cons of "The Aristocats" against the delightfully filthy comedy "The Aristocrats".
And another note, why don't we call it "The Aristo Cats"? Given that's how the cats spell it.
Then again, why am I trusting a cat on correct spelling? Damned cats.
I need to stop drinking my Vodka-granate juice and posting.
