2009 - Illuminations: Sky Dance - Rumor I don't know much about this yet, but I?m starting to hear rumors that a new version of Illuminations may be in the works to replace Reflections of Earth as early as 2009. The working title being tossed around is said to be Illuminations: Sky Dance and by no coincidence Don Dorsey's website does list something called Sky Dance as one of three current projects they are working on. Don Dorsey has had a long involvement with Disney's past big nighttime spectaculars: Reflections of Earth, Fantasmic, Sorcery In The Sky and even the original Main Street Electrical Parade. Anyone know more?

If this rumor comes true, I can't wait! I have nothing against Illuminations, but it's by far my least favorite of the nighttime shows. I'm assuming that Sky Dance would still be at World Showcase...I wonder if it would encorporate the countries, like Illuminations does. Illuminations could do a better job with incorporating the countries, though- it could light up each country and then play a little piece of music from that country, for example. The globe is what bothers me the most about Illuminations- from most places you stand, you really can't make out what's on the globe.
