Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Movie DVD May 6th

After 8 years of being Out of Print, Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Movie (1996) will be re-released on May 6th. The DVD will have a new 16x9 transfer and the original theatrical trailer. No other bonus features have been announced.

Great movie, but since I don't have a widescreen TV anyway, I'll be in no hurry to double-dip. I just wish they would lower the price of the show sets.

I can't wait. I can finally chuck my VHS copy. I wish the deleted host segments were included, but I didn't really expect them to be.
slave2moonlight, in all fairness, the $50 or so you pay for the four disc set isn't that bad. Much cheaper than when Rhino was just releasing individual episodes on DVD.

Well this DVD will only cost $19.99 so it's not too expensive. Even if you already have the original version slave2moonlight, the 16x9 enhancement will still make the picture quality better (but that would only really be noticeable in the host segments). I agree SpringHeelJack about more bonus features. Especially when you consider a fan made 10th Anniversary edition has more bonus content. But there is still time for more stuff to be added.
