Anyone else having problems with pages not loading?

Nothing bothers me more than perfectly valid pages not loading properly...except when those pages not loading are my responsibility!
I've sent an e-mail to figure what's up, but I hope not everyone is having the annoying experience that I am right now.

Ugh, this is bloody awful.
I hope you're all not experiencing these kind of troubles.

I have been running into this as well it seems like after I hit Back and then reclick on what ever I am linking to it comes up usually the second or third time. But that aside just wanted to let you know that I love the new setup for the forum it seems to be set up real well.

Well, right now the "General Discussion" area is being futzy for me... Grr. >:-p

Thanks, Papa Bear.
I think you'll all agree that the nicest setup in the world won't matter if the pages won't load with regularity. Hopefully, this will be addressed.

Forum not very responsive

I've noticed that the forum isn't as responsive as it used to be. Sometimes the webrowsers display: "Sending request to
www.ultimatedisney.com" for a couple of minutes. I end up hitting Sop, then reload. I thought I was having connection problems. I'd register, but the forum is soo slow tonight. It was running ok earlier.

Ok, i don't know if its my computer but i am getting this every once in a while when i try to load a page... btw it doesn't happen on any webaite but this one....
"Proxy Error
The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server.
The proxy server could not handle the request GET /forum/posting.php.
Reason: Could not connect to remote machine: Connection refused"
Hmm....maybe it is an error in the site or a problem with this contraption i call a computer...

I haven't seen that error, but I'd guess that it's the site and not your computer.
That's actually very helpful though, as I've cited that message to my host, who's looking into it. Thanks.
Forum a little faster

I think the forums are a little more responsive now. A while ago, I had to wait five minutes before the forum could log me in.
Keep up the good work Luke.

Right now, it's working GREAT for me, so maybe the problem's been fixed. Or maybe it's only temporary.
Please let me know if the problems persist for you.

Luke, recently (the last 2 days) I have been getting more errors than before. It is just the regular "this page does not exist error" but has been happening rather often. I usually just reload the page and it works fine. Don't know where the problem is coming from but thought I'd let you know as you seemed to be concerned about it before.

Thanks for letting me know, Doug. I'll look into it.

Luke -- the problem is still presisting, and even more now. I get them on all sorts of pages on the forum, and they're mostly the "Page Cannot Be Displayed". Sometimes, when I click refresh, I'll sometimes get a page that takes 5 minutes to load. Just wanted to let you know that this is happening, even worser now then the month of April...

Yes, I've noticed it and I've contacted my host about it several times but they seem to insist it's either temporary or non-existent. It really, really sucks.
One trick that seems to avoid the 5-minute wait thing is to go back and click the link again. Sometimes, clicking it multiple times works better too. That seems to work better than just hitting Refresh.
I don't know what to do, really. Besides not renewing with Netfirms when my year is up, I guess.
Really sorry.

heh. Luke, it's okay. I just wanted to point it out, or wonder if it was just me with my ghetto AT&T..

I'm seeing it too. It's very random though, I'd say less than 5% of the time I try and opena page. But it has happened at least once every day I've been on here.
A minor inconvenience...no big deal.

Well, I must say in the few days since my previous post things have gotten much worse, I'd say I'm experiencing this about 25-30% of the time, now

I had the same problem lately. Yesterday I got "This Page Cannot Be Displayed" almost every time I hit a link and I would have to hit refresh to get the page to come up.
