January ends with almost as weak a slate as the one it began with...
I'll be reviewing
Twitches Too, but aside from that, there's nothing for me this week. Might get around to Life of Brian at some point.
DVDizzy's detailed listing for the week's releases:

None for me. Wow this month has been pretty weak, even with new releases. Oh well, it's my sisters birthday so I'll probably be spending time with her. Or not, I think that might be an early release day at school as well. Anyway, nothing for me since I'm saving up for all of my DVD and Blu-ray purchases for the rest of the year.

I am going to steer clear of Daddy Day Camp. It looked really bad and got really horrible reviews, so no thanks.
Everything else is just as uninteresting.

None of those. Surprise, surprise.
I wonder which movie will have the privilege of breaking this dry season of mine.

Well, so far this year the only DVD I've been compelled to buy is Zodiac: 2Disc Director's Cut, and haven't even been remotely interested in anything else.
This week doesn't change that. No purchases, a possible rental for The Invasion and I will steer clear of the crap (Daddy Day Camp, The Comebacks).
Cheers,
JM

I'll definitely be getting Groundhog Day. Maybe not right when it comes out, but soon.

The Invasion was one of the worst remakes I have ever seen, so I will avoid that one like the plague it is. The movie is just flat-out boring.
Only thing I will be getting is "JAG - Season Five".
Look out February, there is a bunch of good stuff coming. including "The Aristocats", "101 Dalmations", "Martian Child", "The Brave One", "In The Valley of Elah", "Gone Baby Gone" and, of course one that I have been waiting 20 years for it to come on DVD, "The Equalizer - Season One".

Lake Placid 2? What. After my outstanding extra work in Lake Placid 1, I can't believe they did not invite me back.
Wow that Bette White could swear. It was so impressive.

I am a notorious double dipper but I will resist the urge & not buy the Groundhog Day 15AE. The SE I have is plenty good enough. Nothing else is even tempting.

I've been looking forward for the new Special Edition of Groundhog Day. Also, with any luck, Tuesday will be the day that we finally get the Kubrick films finally arrive on Blu-ray here in Canada (Yeah, the DVD and HD DVDs all came back in October up here, but the Blu-ray been delayed a couple of times now, and Jan. 29 seems to be the day they finally arrive), which if they do, both 2001 and Shining will be mine right on Tuesday, don't know if I'll pick up any of the rest.
