That's apparently the full title, in case anyone was wondering. From the annual report 2007.

I'm not sure I like the idea of the third film having a subtitle, while the other two didn't... it doesn't really fit, but... I'm sure everyone will go crazy over it, anyway. lol

So after this we should expect "Community College Musical"?

I predict Sharpay and Gabriella will get into a long drawn out fight over who should be Homecoming/Prom Queen and whats his face will be King because it wouldn't be HSM if he wasn't the center of attention
Personally, I'd like the movies more if Hudgens and Efron (just remembered his name) took a step back and let the other 4 get some more air time.

ROTFL! That was so funny, but sadly... a possibility. Disney Channel just hasn't been the same.

What about "college drop out musical" or "pressured to go into University musical"?

At one point, HSM2's subtitle was "Sing It All or Nothing!" That was either a working subtitle or it's an unofficial one. HSM3 will probably be called just that- HSM3.

Tis true. Interestingly enough, when I was (ahem) looking for HSM2 songs on my file-sharing program, Ares, I came across a song called "All or Nothing." The song was sung by two females who sounded very much like Hudgens and Tisdale. Perhaps this was an early demo of a song?? The world may never know.
As for HSM3: Subtitle, I'll go see it. I lovedlovedloved the music from HSM2 (as synthetic as it was), and I am looking forward to a third one. But I do agree with you: let's get Bleu, Grabeel, and Coleman some more air time!!

I thought the third one was going to be called Haunted High School Musical and be put in theaters?
Meh, whatever. I'm just upset that we will be subjected to another one of these crappy movies.

.
Initially, the third was called "Haunted High School Musical", but they've dropped that theme. And, HSM3 will still be in the theaters.

We should stop listing titles, because I guarantee you some Disney writer is browsing through this going "Retirement Home Musical? GENIUS!".

"High School Musical 3: Senior Year" finds high school seniors Troy and Gabriella facing the prospect of being separated from one another as they head off in different directions to college. Joined by the rest of the Wildcats, they stage an elaborate spring musical reflecting their experiences, hopes and fears about their future. With incredible new music and exciting dance numbers designed to take maximum advantage of the big screen, this motion picture extravaganza delivers plenty of high-energy entertainment from East High’s talented ensemble."

I have a simple question. Wasn't HSM set when Troy and Gabriella were somphmores? And then HSM 2 was the summer in between sophmore and junior years? Then how can they just skip junior year? Or did Troy and Gabriella suddenly skip a year because the rest of the Wildcats are not in the same grade as those two? I'm sure little kids don't care, or even know what sophmores and juniors are, but the time "gap" doesn't seem to fit with the "Senior Year" subtitle.

well, in HSM2 troy was worried because he was about to go into his senior
year... so technically, Disney already had them skip a year without us
knowing; but wait, i guess the reason you assume they're sophemores in
the first becauase troy was said to be the first sophmore to accomplish
something (although i forget what) but it was never said they were
actually IN they're sophemore year, right???

Who said that the movies are going year-by-year? I agree with rs_milo_whatever, though- Troy didn't have to have been a sophomore when that statement was made.

A Big Screen High School Musical?
Yes, it does look like Disney will take its cable popular High School Musical franchise to the big screen. It captures the kids as they do "Senior year" and plan to head off to college, separate colleges. Look for it in theaters Oct. 24. The whole cast and screenwriter are back to make this happen.

'High School Musical 3' To Hit Big Screen With Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale
The third installment will find high school seniors Troy (Efron) and Gabriella (Hudgens) dealing with the prospect of being separated as they head to different colleges. And, as usual, they will join the rest of the Wildcat gang to stage an elaborate musical to deal with it.

High School Musical 3: Senior Year? What? How disappointing.
What happened to Haunted High School Musical?
I was looking forward to other sequels:
High School Musical In Space
High School Musical of the Caribbean
Lord of the High School Musicals
The High School Musical Ultimatium
and of course
High School Musical: Electric Bugaloo

in HSM 2 doesn't sharpay say something about gabriella having to leave because she changes schools every semester or something?
if she said it means it had been a semester; i don't remember exactly but something saying it had only had been a semester did happen in the movie.
