I would say season 3 was my favourite. yes, the mystery was shorter, due to Marcia Cross' pregnancy but, despite it's length it was the most intriging for me. The whole story of Orson, Alma, Gloria, Mike and Monique was very well written and extremely macabre. I also thought the central characters had better storylines and had more to do. Not to mention the episode "Bang" which many dub the best episode in the show's hstory! although the last 7 episodes were literally Bree-less the rest of the cast managed to keep the season fresh and interesting, developing more storylines and a sinister, if somewhat unorthadox finale.

While I have immensely enjoyed seasons 3 and 4 (while enjoying season 2 to a lesser extent) I'm still a sucker for season 1. But this shocker they seem to have this season seems really good!
