My favorite television show from the 80's THE EQUALIZER starring Edward Woodward has long been missing from DVD, but then I looked at ComingSoon.net and there it is, being released in February, 2008. Thank You, thank you, thank you.

The rest of Gargoyles.
I'd also like The Little Mermaid (they could release that in one DVD), and Aladdin. I guess all the oldish TV shows I like are on DVD. Which is sad because I hardly own any of them.

I'd really love to see the original 1966 Batman with Adam West finally released but I don't think it will ever happen.

I'd also like to see Warner Brothers finish Huckleberry Hound and the rest of the Jetsons. Plus I would also like to see Quick Draw McGraw.

i could see a Speed Racer box set with the movie being released, Digimon (first series) would also be very nice. i don't want to sound stupid, but is there a Johnny Quest box set out there??? i mean its an ovious choice to release on DVD, but i've just never seen one.

i know they're all cartoons but the live-action series that i would buy on DVD i already own...except for That's So Raven, but i don't see that one being released ever.

I'll second Digimon Season 1 (along with 2 and 3; and 4 can go to the bonfires).

Also, a very early sci-fi series produced by the CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) in the early 1950s called "Space Command". James Doohan, who later played Scotty in the original Star Trek, was in it.

I think he means full sets not choppy stringing together of a few episodes.

I think you have been living under a rock. "Batman the Movie" starring Adam West, Burt Ward and all the television characters is available on DVD.

I'd like to see some comprehensive, chronological, definitive releases of The Jack Benny Program, The George Burns And Gracie Allen Show and The Bob Cummings Show (Love That Bob) - all of which seem to be permanently doomed to nasty scrappy PD releases for the forseeable future. Season sets of The Phil Silvers Show (Bilko). Some legit releases of The Carol Burnett Show would be welcome, too.

I'm very pleased to see that Perfect Strangers is about to make the leap onto DVD this February, and I'm hoping it sells well enough to keep the releases going until we get to the really classic episodes of the 4th and 5th seasons.

Further afield, I'd love to see some releases of complete shows by Wayne & Shuster. (Drat you, Canada! Appreciate your comedy heritage!)

Bill,

I think you are the one living under a ROCK! This thread is called... and I QUOTE..."What kind of old tv series that you want to see on DvD!. Did you notice the words TV SERIES? It did NOT say MOVIES! The 1966 Batman TV series is not likely now nor ever to see the light of day on DVD period!

I hate to disagree with you but we will not. There are way too many obstacles in the way. There is first of all the issue that Fox owns the syndication rights and Warner owns the rights to the characters. There is a problem with licensing the original music, both themes music and original singing guest stars. There is also the problem of so many many guest stars and their residuals and tons of other legal issues. No I'm afraid that when Warner stated that releasing Batman would not be economical nor feasible they knew what they were talking about and there is no way that Warner will allow FOX to release it. There is a lot that has been written about this subject by people in the know and just some searching on Google could get you more well informed.

Fortunately I have a access to the shows and even though they are not the very best quality they are quite watchable. So at least I have my Batman to enjoy!
