Hello, after reading many threads, I learned that when a Disney Classic is planned to be released on DVD, they try to market it by having some of the plushes of the characters of that movie available to purchase. Someone mentioned that because of the re-release of the Aristocats, its not uncommon to see many Sophie plushes out there. I was at Disney's MGM Studios today, and I also noticed Maleficent the Dragon plushes on sale, and we all know that Sleeping Beauty is set to be released in October of 2008. Well I thought I should mention that there were many Baby Pegases available as well. I haven't seen these on the shelves for a very long time, so do you think they have Hercules set to be re-released soon?

I was searching around the interweb today and came across a couple of different things leading one to believe that the long awaited re-release of Hercules may be coming this year...
I found a couple times the labeling "Hercules (Ultimate Edition)" and then also one thing that had labeled 'deleted songs' to be featured on the Ultimate Edition of Hercules...
And then doing some further research on the deleted songs, found one on youtube... "I Can't Believe My Heart" and alternate song for "I Won't Say I'm In Love"
So... could this be the year ? FINALLY ?

It's taken from Susan Egan's album. It has nothing to do with possible future DVD extras.

What if there waiting after sleeping beauty release on bluray
so they can but hercules on bluray and hunchback to
cuz i think they would look great on bluray

We can only hope that soon there will be a re-release. Last year would have been a good year to have had a re-release as the 10 year Anniversaty Edition since the film came out in 1997.

I motion a sticky be made for this portion of the forum saying "THERE ARE NO FUTURE RE-RELEASES PLANNED FOR EITHER HERCULES OF HUNCHBACK IN THE NEAR FUTURE" to stop all these threads from being made.

yes..i second that..since the olympics grant mulan a re-issue..maybe when people started believing in the old grecian gods again..they will reissue hercules..and atlantis when they finally found the city...and when babies are all born hunch, for u know who.

BVHE is effortlesley annoying, you know as UD users and Disney fans we should make petitons on ipetetion.com, how many of us would want a rerelease, I'm pretty sure there's a lot of members here !
We would gather the votes and send the statistics to BHVE email.
I noticed on one petiton site some people were voting for a Black Disney princess and now we have Tiana, these petetions can really grab the attention of a company such as Disney, they'd really consider a petiton rather than having a few individual emails sent telling them they want a rerelease.
I'd be willing to do one for the sake of a movie like Hercules, but would you guys actually support me and vote for a rerelease so I can send the number of people who voted to BVHE ?

can the petition also include features we'd like to have? i dont want it to be a barebones anamorphic only update.. whatever it is im signing!

I'm glad your interested, In the petetion I'll write for a release of Hercules on both DVD and Bluray and to have loads of special features worthy of a Special Edition, but If you guys want to be more specific on what you want the special features to have please do, so I can have more things to write in the petetion before I get the votes. (Deleted Scenes, Music Videos, Games...)
As for me I just want a Bluray with 1080p resoloution and 7.1 surround sound, is that too much to ask ?!

the only reason i want hercules on anamorphic dvd and hi def blu ray is just so i can have a brighter stronger colors..and sharper more clearer view of the calligraphic lines..theyre gorgeous to look at.

Why make a petition. BVHE will release these films again. It's not as if they've been banned for life and will never see the light of day again. I feel that all a petition will do is rush them into releasing it and possibly ruin the potential for a great blu-ray/DVD release in the next few years.

Sheesh, calm down people. If it's really eating you this much that you can't watch it go rent it or something. Family Video has free kids rentals.

They won't respond to a petition anyway. Really, your energy and time could be better focused elsewhere.
