My friend gave me a Fighting Fish, it seemed odd because I have a big fat cat so I'm not sure what my friend was thinking

It's the thought that counts though, so I'll just be putting my new fishie somewhere safe. Too bad my friend didn't get me a manual on how to take care of it since I have no clue.

I received "Sky High" and "The Princess Diaries" 2 DVDs from my Secret Santa, Just Myself.
At my hubby's work's Christmas party, I got a $25 Sears gift card, with which I purchased 2 HSM t-shirts and a Minnie & Mickey zipper sweatshirt.
I received cash. and I bought CDs and music downloads with it.

Buy it a small betta tank. Preferably one that you can add a filter to. A lot of pet stores will tell you, they don't "need" a filter. I am telling you, it will help them live longer and you will have to do less water changes, so it will be more convient. Being we are on a Disney site, I suggest buying one of the Tetra Water Wonders tanks. They are 1.5 gallons, more than enough for one betta. Come with a filter, light, ornament, and food. Everything buy the gravel, fish, and water

$30-40 is the going rate of them. I have seen them in person (I work in a pet store) and they are adorable, great little tanks. Oh, and the tanks have a cover on them, so the cat can't get in. Many betta bowls have no covers and could easily be tipped over by a cat. The tanks also come with water conditioner so if you do use tap water, you can treat it, but check with your local water company to see if the water is safe for fish. And it has colored lenses, so you can make your light red or blue

Here is a site that sells the POTC, Nemo, and Ariel tanks:

Quick tips with Bettas. ONLY use spring water, be sure the water is not listed as "purified or filtered" or that they added minerals to it. You are looking specifically for true spring water. Keep only one betta in a tank. Males will kill each other, there is NO middle ground, they will always kill each other. Do not overfeed. Remember a betta has a very tiny stomach.

Thanks Siren, right now he's in a Betta Tank I think so it'll have to do for now until I can get some money together for the stuff he'll need. Right now I'm working on picking a name for him. But that's going off-topic.......to keep things somewhat more on topic I'm hopefully getting a Wii if not it'll be a belated present to me from me when I get the money together.

So far, I have received:
- A blanket
- Chocolates
- A watch with bells on it
- Money
- A Chinese necklace
To be honest, I'm hurt. Am I that hard to buy things for? I already regifted the blanket and the chocolates to people who actually wanted them. The watch is nearly pointless, as the Christmas season is almost over. The Chinese necklace is beautiful and appreciated, but that seems to be everyone's cop-out. "What should we buy Prudence?" "Uh, uhm, she likes Chinese things!" And money? Well, that's what nearly everyone sent me. The things I like don't exist, perhaps.
