Glitch on Treasures Disneyland disc?

Those of you who have the new Disneyland tin (not Disneyland U.S.A.):

Does your disc have a glitch around 10:00 into the main feature on disc 1? In the scene with the portrait of Roy Disney, about 1/3 from the bottom of the screen on the right half, I get a green pixellated bar briefly that then stretches the entire width of the screen.

I see it regardless of whether it's playing on my standalone DVD player or my computer DVD drive. The disc itself doesn't have any scratches or imperfections that I can see. I would just exchange the disc, but all the Best Buys in my area are out of stock.

I've sent off a message to Disney DVD Support, and I'll report back anything I hear from them.

Taking a look at your problem, I believe the issue pops up at 0:08:45 during "Disneyland: Secrets, Stories, and Magic", but just for a split second.

My bar didn't go the entire width of the screen as you can see below:

Yes, I encountered this too and noticed it right away.

Yep! That's exactly it!

I should have put my description differently: The green bar doesn't go across the whole screen but after it appears and then disappears, there's a line on the left side, slightly lower than the green bar. It's simply distortion of the image.

I'm just glad I'm not the only one! When I hear back from Disney DVD tech support, I'll post whatever they say.

What are you exactly expecting Disney to do about this. Yes its a mistake but not one bad enough to replace a disc over and not fixable at your end either.

Disney has been fantastic at replacing their errors as has Warners but I think we are expecting way too much if you want them to fix that.

Yeah, I have to agree with Mr. Toad, as long as it's not something that will get worse over time. I know nothing about this sort of thing, so...

I am glad to hear that it's not just on my copy though.

Please point out where I said I expect them to do something? I simply have contacted them to ask if it's a known issue.

If I have any expectations, it's that a company such as Disney -- and Warner for that matter -- turn out its product without glitches or problems that could have been and should have been caught before it goes to market. As much as I love WB -- and I do because I think, more than any other studio, they've done well by their catalog titles -- one has to admit they've got a serious QA problem. Disney isn't much better.

Do I find the "green bar" annoying? Yes. Do I think it's annoying enough to want a fix done for it? Maybe, but I can live with it if they're not willing to do something about it.

Either way, I don't care for your tone.

Well, Disney was willing to issue a replacement for the second Silly Symphonies set due to a few title cards, and that wasn't even an image defect. So you never know, the may eventually have replacements for this as well. Just have to wait and see.

I noticed it on my copy. However, it's not that much more distracting than the age artifacts on the older footage.
