A rerelease of Mystery Science Theater 3000 Collection Volume 10 is expected to come out on February 5th, and will be called 10.2. the reason for the rerelease is that the episode that was on the original volume 10 (Godzilla Vs. Megalon), upset Toho, the Japanese company who own the Godzilla films and they forced Rhino to do a recall on the DVD. Ironically, Toho had no problems with the episode being made or shown on television originally, or on the DVD at first.

The New version will have the episode The Giant Gila Monster ("and the lord said laugh, children laugh, and the lord said laugh...") with two new bonus features. A featurette explaining the recall, and an interview with Don Sullivan who starred in the movie.

read more about it here: http://www.mst3kinfo.com/?p=175

I guess this will delay the release of volume 13 then.

So, you're saying they have... 9, or 12 other volumes of that show out right now?

yup, 12 volumes plus The Essentials disc. 50 (51 including this new DVD) episodes have been relased of the 190 some odd episodes name. There can't be a season by season release because of rights issues with the movies.

This really annoys me. As one of the people who bought Volume 10 the day it came out, I'm upset that in order to get "Gila Monsters", I'll have to pay $40 and end up with three episodes I already own. I can't afford that kind of double dip. I really hope Rhino comes to their senses and makes "Gila Monsters" available individually.

Awhile ago I'm sure they would have, like they did when they were releasing individual episodes to DVD (and they even had the original version of the movie that they were making fun of). But I'm not so sure now. Since the haven't done that in years.
