Hi guys,
I've only recently started collecting Disney DVD's and I can't believe what a hassle it is - Snow White, for example, is a film I won't be able to own until 2008 or 2011! Plus a lot of the information on the net seems geared at the US market. Does anyone have any definite information they can stick in this thread about UK release dates for this year? In particular I want to make sure I don't miss the 'Disney Treasures' DVD's - a quick look at Play, Amazon, and a few others revealed release dates ranging from last month to May '04! Plus, does anyone know if the UK is getting the Alice in Wonderland masterpiece edition, or should I buy the box set with beauty and the beast and peter pan (which I already own)?
Incidentally, has anyone seen that on the Disney UK site they're starting a dvd shop in January, and Peter Pan is down as video only - does this mean that the current DVD is being deleted until the platinum edition?

The thing I do is go to amazon.co.uk and type the word "disney" then seleted "sort by release date" and they show you whats getting released from up coming to older releases.

Thanks. I did a bit of research for the Disney Treasures UK releases, and there seem to be two possible dates - May or February of 2004. Amazon has the Mickey DVD down as 9th Feb (couldn't find the Silly Symphonies DVD), while HMV has them both down as the 1st of February; but Play.com has Mickey down as being the 3rd of May, and Choices Direct has them both on the same date, May 3rd!!! Does anyone have any definitive info?

Well no, i don't have any definate info, but after looking on a lot of websites as you did it seemed that more and more were saying May 3rd 2004 and as February's main DVDs seem to have been definately announced (Lion King 3 and Finding Nemo) with no Treasures in sight, i'd bet they are now planning a May release as most websites say. The torturers...
