Ratatouille 2-Disc in Europe

Several sites in Europe have announced and there are rumours that Ratatouille might be a 2-Disc in Europe, because of its amazing box-office success over here.

So what do you think?

Personally for me it sucks, because I already imported the Region 1, but then again I don't watch the bonus stuff more than once or twice.

it's the #1 film of the year in France, it would be an outrage if they didn't realease a 2-disc set.

Well, yeah, it seems to be for sure because amazon.fr has already made it available for preorder.
It will be released on the 1st of February.
However, in my opinion, it looks a little bit strange that they kept the same artwork as for the regular R1 release.

Amazon.de added the Special Edition too:

Hm... Maybe by that time (February) they'll have a Special Edition in R1 too, which for sure would be cheaper.

Some good offers out there. £10 at Asda with free mini cookbook. £9.97 at Woolworths and any Pixar film for an extra £5.

I'm really angry that they haven't released Pixar shorts seperately. :x

I bought Ratatouille from Zavvi today and it came with a 'free' film cell, although the price was £16, which is more than what other shops were selling it for.

I already bought the single-disk edition of Ratatouille and I'm not planning to double-dip.
What kind of policy is this anyway? Either they should release single and double disk edition simultaniously, so that customers can choose between them at once, or they should announce long in advance that "the extensive two-disk edition is coming later, on that and that date".

Why does it have to differ so much from country to country and from movie to movie? 2 Disk Edition of Pocahontas in UK, not in The Netherlands, 2 disk edition of The Incredibles on first release, not of Ratatouille. Much more 'Disney Treasures' in the USA than anywhere else.
Audio commentary for Hunchback of Notre Dame in US and UKversion, not in the Benelux edition I've got. I can go on and on about the random differences. :(

I've had the R1 edition for a while and I double dipped for the Pixar Shorts bundle.

I didn't mind, I was after the Pixar Shorts disc (I guess) and I was intrigued by disc 2 of Ratatouille.
