Haven't posted in a long time but this item really got me wondering. The pic below shows a "collector's edition" box set of 100 Disney movies on 110 discs with a limited edition metal gift box and retails for US$249.99 (offer price...down from US$499.99).

At first glance it looks amazing...right?!? That is until you scroll down and start to read the specs.
Hmm.....region-free, english only audio, chinese/english subs all point to the ever popular pirated DVDs from Asia (amazingly they even put official Asian release when some movies have never made it to DVD or even onto any Asian release!!
)
Read the list of movies carefully and you start seeing odd things
[1] Disc 81 is a blank disc ?!? Woo hoo free DVD-R?!?
[2] Disc 74 is Wikipedia?? Wow..own the entire wikipedia contents on a single DVD for you to view offline
[3] Disc 68 is Felix the Cat .... since when did Disney acquire rights from NBC
[4] Discs 67, 72 same case as above
[5] Discs 109, 84,85,86,87, 78,79,80 aren't even movies!!
Heck, the box is pretty small and can barely hold the 110 discs. They're all bunched together without any labels/casing/trays and stuff directly into the box.... Some "movies" seem to be the original DVD transfers and not the new/anniversary/restored editions (i.e. Little Mermaid, Dumbo, Cinderella)
One thing though, the box is pretty nice...wondering if I can just purchase the box without the discs
You can view the set here (or maybe even purchase it!!) -> http://www.idealbargainxp.com/product_i ... cts_id=809
