Hmm...how very odd...whats with all this confusion? Can't they just stick with their 2-disc line up and keep it that way so all us Disney fans won't get so aggitated? But as long as its still coming out as a nice 2-discer thats fine :)

I hope comes out. I recently watched Aristocats, The Sword in The Stone and 101 Dalmatians and I think the 60s-70s movies are growing on me.

Perhaps we are seeing a comeback of the 2-disc Disney films which are not Platinum....

As in December we are getting a 2-disc National Treasure.... True it's probably only to promote the sequel... But perhaps this campaign can go..

IF Aristocats does turn out to be a 2-disc.. perhaps there is still hope for Lilo & Stitch 2-disc Special Edition....

2008... The Year for Disney Animated Classics and Disney Movies go to
2-disc upgrade!!!

You know what kind of commercials we will be seeing on tv you know..

Aristocats Coming to dvd

right after the commercial

Vote for (insert Name Here) For President

(insert political name here) Picked there nose while they were 2 years old!! .. . dont' vote for them; vote for the person who thinks Hygeine in America is important.. We must win the War against bad Hygeine...

And Also Welcome back LighthouseMike

that would be great if in 2008 they began re-releasing all disney movies in 2-disk editions!! i.e. dumbo, robin hood, fox and the hound, hercules, hunchback among numerous others.

Do you know if the trailer is the same one that was on the Peter Pan: Platinum Edition from last spring? Or is it different? Does the trailer give a date or a timeframe (ie: Spring, Summer) for when it will be released?

Wow. I hope they have enough stuff to justify this as a two-disc again, and not pull a "Peter Pan". Hopefully it will be on par with "Alice in Wonderland", and maybe we'll finally get the "Lilo & Stitch" two-disc as well.

Spring, Jack! Heel, Jack! Jack, I said Heel! Bad Jack, stop Springing and Heel! wrote:Wow. I hope they have enough stuff to justify this as a two-disc again
Well, we can expect this much:

-The Sherman Brothers: The Aristocrats of Disney Cats (6:56)
-Disneyland Excerpt: "The Great Cat Family" (12:48 ) - newly passed by BBFC
-Deleted Song: "She Never Felt Alone" (7:52) - newly passed by BBFC
-Art Scrapbook
-Figaro Short: "Bath Day" (6:37) - newly passed by BBFC
-Animated Short: "The Country Cousin" (8:53)
-"Ev'rybody Wants to Be A Cat" Sing-Along (2:19)
-O' Malley's Singing and Painting Game

Also, there's the enigma that is:

-The Sherman Brothers: The Aristocrats of Disney Song (4:28 )

It was also newly passed by the BBFC, and is either a different featurette from the first one (where "Song" is "Cats") or actually is the first one, but shortened and re-titled.

Ok it is the same trailer as seen on the Peter Pan DVD.
The only "new" info is with the insert that still says its gonna be a 2 Disc set, and you know its a new insert cuz they didn't have the cover art on the old one, so maybe they decided to go ahead with the 2 dsc set.

I love this movie can't wait to have it, and i'm kinda upset about the Sleeping Beauty P dvd, we already have a good release of it, why should i buy it again when a;; i want is a Hercules 2 disc dvd.

Well, we had heard from BVHE_Rep that the whole reason for the delay of The Aristocats: Special Edition, was in order to get enough bonus features to merit a 2-disc release, and now it seems that statement is proving to be true, which is great. Hopefully this will mark the release of other 2-disc Disney DVD's (outside of the Platinum line) such as Hercules, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and (no throwing tomatoes please, because I love this movie) OLIVER AND COMPANY!!
