A year and a half ago (or so) this was rumoured for the second wave of the WD Treasures, but then disappeared.

Hooray!

Any idea of what will be on it? I have the 90 odd minute feature film version, but I've never seen the TV episodes so I'm kinda excited by it all. If it is a 2 discer then I hope they have the TV episodes on disc 1 and maybe the film version on disc 2 so as to preserve both versions.

Next up on my Disney TV episodes on DVD wishlist are The Legend Of Young Dick Turpin, Elfego Baca and Escapade in Florence!

According to the release schedule information:

Studio: Walt Disney Home Video
Theatrical Release Date: February 9, 1964
DVD Release Date: August 3, 2004
Run Time: 129 minutes

Along with Darby O'Gill, August cannot arrive sooner. Also, I hope it's a two disc set like 20,000 Leagues. Does anyone know if it will be 2 disc?

If they list the runtime as 129 minutes than surely this the version of the three TV episodes back to back with the titles from the theatrical version which (I think) was exclusive to video in the US? The theatrical version which which played in the cinemas internationally in the 1960s ran for much shorter. A 1970s reissue was shorter still, running at around 75 minutes, I think. Whatever the lenght I'll still be pleased to see it on DVD.

Do you happen to know that this thread you are bumping is about 4 years old.. :P

I thought perhaps this was an update on if Dr. Synn would be coming to the Walt Disney Treasures........ Not a funny post... that has nothing to do with Dr. Synn. Now I am bummed because I Just read this whole thread and that wasted 5 minutes of my life that I will never be able to get back..... and an additional 3 minutes that took replying to this 3-5 year old thread.... I want DAIRY QUEEN!!!

Note* I have now Had my dramatic fit for the day... that is all..
