They should make an animated Jesus movie. At least it'd be something I haven't seen in GOOD animation before (though 2D would be better). I loved Prince of Egypt, aside from unnecessary changes to the story, but I don't need a CGI repeat. Still need to get that one on DVD, actually.

Look for The Miracle Maker: The Story of Jesus.

This is a stop-motion film (like Nightmare Before Christmas.) It has a great voice cast, and has some wonderful animation effects.

Yeah, the Miracle Maker's a great film and pretty underrated. That said, I'd still like to see another animated interpretation of the life of Christ (besides the Hanna-Barbera and Nest Family series).
As for this Ten Commandments, I don't know what to think. The animation looks pretty underdeveloped, but it's got a decent cast. I probably won't see it in theaters, but I may check it out on DVD.
Apparently it's going to be the start of an animated Bible series. According to the official website, there'll be one Bible film released in theaters every fall. The films currently in the pipeline are:
Noah's Ark: The New Beginning
David & Goliath
Samson & Delilah
The Battle of Jericho
Genesis
Why they're doing them out of order is beyond me. The site claims that the goal is to make 12 Biblical films, so we've got six more that have yet to be announced. I'm 99.9% certain the life of Christ will be one of those films, and it wouldn't surprise me if Abraham, Joseph, Daniel, Esther, and Paul fill out the rest. I just hope they save Jesus for towards the end. By then, CG animation will be able to be more fluid and realistic for this sort of budget, and the experiences the filmmakers have in adapting other Bible stories will hopefully make Jesus a more polished film.

Ah, yes, I've been wanting to see that. Still, I'd like to see them make one more along the lines of Prince of Egypt, with the high-end 2D and all.
