Okay, like most of you I have gotten emails and the pkg in the mail talking about this club. I want some actual users to tell me if it is worth it. There are a few live action dvds I would actually be interested in, but i'm also afraid they will put out definitive collections as soon as I purchase. The sets are mostly Babes in Toyland, Bedknobs and Broomsticks, and Ducktales Treasure of the Lost Lamp. I know more than likely the regular animated features will be updated at some point if not already. I also see they have Donald in Mathmagical Land, and what are the odds that will be put on a Treasures volume at some point. Back to my subject, I know some of these clubs are a scam, but what about this one. Thanks in advance.

I think that the club is worth it. You initially get a bunch of movies for cheaper than you'd pay at the store, and they often have great deals (such as specific movies for $10 each, or buy 1 get 1 50% off).
I would recommend it. Even though I haven't bought anything from them in a few months, it's really worth it---just make sure to utilize their sales!

I'm satified. I don't usually get the featured movie, but I got the Davy Crockett Treasure at MSRP instead of the arm & the leg they were bidding for it on ebay. They also have some packages for a good deal. I got Pollyanna, Swiss Family Robinson, and The Parent Trap for about the price that any two of the movies would have cost at Best Buy.

I'm also thinking about joining, but I want to know something: it says that the DVDs start at 19.95, but does that mean movies are typically sold at their standard retail price? Like, would PotC 2: DMC be $20 or $30?

The Disney Movie Club is more of a mixed bag when it comes to their prices. Some films are sold at their full retail price...(Sword in the Stone, It's A Small World of Fun vols. 1 2 3 4). But for the most part films that retail for 29.99 usually sale between 19.95 - 21.95. As for Pirates of the Caribbean 2, they only have the Special Edition and it sales for 22.95, and if their are any others prices you would like to know, just give us a list and one of us will give you a reply.
