Hello everybody !

Does someone know of any promotional items to commemorate the Platinum DVD release of THE JUNGLE BOOK ? I know there“s a set of lithographs available from The Disney Store, but besides that ?
Is BEST BUY doing anything special, or TARGET, or WALMART ?
I know there was a Target exlusive "Fairies" DVD with Peter Pan and a Best Buy exclusive litho with Cinderella.

Please post here if you know anything !

THANKS,
Bart

I got a set of Jungle Book lithographs, a jungle book snow globe with mowgli on baloo's stomach and a choice of several other lithograph sets(which I refused because I had them all). I think Cars, Cinderella and Little Mermaid were all included. I think the last one may have been store specific because they had left overs.

FutureShop, which is only in Canada, will have an exclusive Steelbook :x

And Target most likely will have one of those light-up pins

Speaking of Promo-Items, I managed to get my hands on the last set of Jungle Book litho's from the Vancouver Disney store :pink: :pink: I can't wait to see what they look like since I had a family member go and order it for me.

No picture up yet but it sounds like this bank will be $4.99 when you buy The Jungle Book DVD.... I like the idea of a Best Buy Jungle Book Bank rather than Peter's Pan's Lunch Box and Free Figurine...

Also does anyone know where one might be able to find a picture of this Steelbook...

Like The Little Mermaid steelbook, I'm sure that it will look just like the us dvd cover.

Woot, there's a Futureshop opening up in my city on October 1st. Looks like I know where I'm buying the Jungle Book from. :D Hopefully it will also be made one of the movies of the week which will be on sale the tuesday it comes out. That would just be the best buy ever.

Here's what the Future Shop Steelbook set looks like:

We are getting ripped off on DVD prices here in Canada. The Steelbook set cost $27.99!

I was just in Walmart and their Jungle Book set with the song disc was $24!

I opened up my steelbook set and here's my take on it if anyone is thinking about getting it. Unless you are a really hardore Disney movie collector, it is not worth it. It just has the Jungle Book art/picture on the front. Nothing on the back - just green colour. And It doesn't even say Jungle Book on the spine. The spine is completely blank. All you get is an empty case - the movie is wrapped up in its regular plastic case which includes the slip case.

Sounds more like a tin than a steelbook. I still wished that it was available in the US.

If they at least put some bonus disc into the steelbook case, then it would've been worth it, but just providing an empty case? Not really worth it.

I got a "snack box" with my DVD at Kroger. It looks like a miniature lunch box with Jungle Book graphics.
