I am very excited about this show. It has an excellent cast! I enjoyed Peter Krause on
Six Feet Under, which was an awesome show. I also enjoyed Donald Sutherland on
Commander in Chief, which I am still mad that ABC cancelled. It's also got Jill Clayburgh, who appeared on two episodes of
Nip/Tuck, which I really enjoyed. Also, Seth Gabel, who also appeared on
Nip/Tuck, for 5 episodes, and on an episode of
Sex and the City. From the previews I've seen, this is going to be a great show. I hope it's a great show, and that it does well.
This is the place to discuss the show, and, as always, spoilers are possible!

It looks a bit like "The OC" for old people, but I am definitely interested. It's on my list of new shows to check out this fall. We'll see how it turns out!

Could you guys give me a little summary of what the premiere was about and how the tone is, please? I'd appreciate that. I love Donald Sutherland.

Sure, Dottie. Here's the summary of the series and pilot, taken from TVRage.com:
"It's been said that money is the root of all evil. That saying may be true. Growing up, Nick George had lived his life in the shadow of the powerful Darling family. Now Nick has a seemingly perfect life and a successful career as a lawyer, but his life changes when his father dies in suspicious circumstances. Upon his death, the wealthy Darling family ask Nick to take over his father's job as the Darling family lawyer and offer him a huge salary to do so. However, the money, prestige, and notoriety Nick is gaining pulls him into the world of the Darlings, which is more than meets the eye.
Pilot episode:
"Nick George reluctantly accepts an offer to take over his father's job follow the death of his father in a mysterious plane crash. Now, Nick is the chief counsel for an extremely wealthy and powerful Darling family and is thrust into the world of the Darling family's numerous personal and legal issues."

It was a very good pilot, and appears to be a promising show. As I said in the first post, it has an excellent cast. I am excited to see more of it, and hope you will get to see it, soon.

I absolutely adored it ... the Darlings are so eccentric ... I loved it!
And the mystery is intriguing ...

I enjoyed the pilot. I'm by no means sold, though. As the pilot was basically all exposition, it's hard to judge what kind of show it will be or what the tone will be... I'm eager to see what comes of it, though. Definitely tuning in again next week.

It does sound interesting, just like the thing I'd like. I had seen a couple of previews when I was in the States this summer and they weren't bad. As you said MMO the cast is great.

I absolutely loved the First Episode, but am very cautious that they can keep up the insanity and still make it worth watching. I will give it a couple more watches, but if I am not hooked by then, I will look for something else. And there are lots of something else on television with the new season breaking out all over!!!

This, plus a lead in from The CW's Gossip Girl, lead to a phenomenal Wednesday!

I tuned into this simply because I'm keeping up with all of ABCs new shows (of course it's totally because Disney owns ABC.......the only non ABC show I watch is 'Heroes').
I must say, that the best suprise so far this year has been, "Dirty, Sexy, Money". I mean, I'm not sure what my expectations were but that show was just simply....REALLY GOOD!!!
I totally have this on my Tivo schedule!!
I'm anxious to see how they keep up the quality and great storytelling in shows like this AND Pushing Daisies (I saw the pilot this summer).
I'm also looking forward to the mid-season pickup "Eli Stone".
p.s. shows I'm disappointed in so far this year include the following:
Private Practice (I'm not a huge Grey's Anatomy fan either - even though I'm studying medecine.....go figure)
Big Shot
Cavemen

I was able to watch tonights episode, and it was another excellent one. I am really liking this series, and I hope that it continues. I certainly think it has the potential to be another great series for ABC.
