This is the first time all day that UD has worked for me- the chat was working, but the homepage and the forum were not. I'd get a blue screen for the homepage, and just the top banner for the forum. Yesterday and maybe the day before UD would at times not work.

Is anyone else having these problems?

I'm having a similar problem. The site seems to be loading slowly. As you mention the banners at the top of the page loads immediately, but not the rest.

If you wait awhile (like 5-10 minutes) the rest of the page will load.

Hopefully the issue will be resolved soon.

I just logged on on my hubby's computer, but earlier I couldn't log on with this computer either. I wonder if there's a problem with the server.

I'm having the same problem; slow loading of the forums.

I, fortunately, am not having any problem at all with UD being slow. It's loading just as fast as it normally does. I wonder what's up with you guys.

It's only now loading fine. For several hours, today, it has been loading very slowly. In fact, I couldn't access the front page, or forums, using IE7 at all. I was able to access the forums using FireFox. However, the front page wouldn't load, completely.

Now, I'm not having a problem at all. So, I assume the problem has been resolved. It's also interesting that I was having the exact same issue with TVShowsOnDVD.com. Now, both UD and TVSoD are working fine.

I've been on several times today, including this morning (around 7:30-8:00) and about ever hour or so since noon and every time it worked for me. I guess I just didn't experience the problem, or my computer is weird.

I noticed the problem this morning and contacted my webhost about it. Like others, I noticed the problem was only occurring on Internet Explorer, not on Firefox. Site seems to be loading okay now. If it acts up again, I'll get on them about it. Sorry for the frustrating inconveniences.

Luke, Ichabod or any of the moderators, everytime I log into the chat on my home computer I keep geting, Sorry Page Not Found thing on there. I can see myself and other members logged on but I can't see what's been typed.... any advice? now when I'm at the college I had no trouble loggin on to it at all....

Well, UD seems to be having issues, again. I can't get onto the site using IE7. I can get on using FireFox and Safari. However, it doesn't load the front page fully, using those two browsers. I am able to see the link to the forum, so, that's how I am here. I figured I'd alert someone to this problem.

I just wanted to let Luke know that the site is experiencing problems, again. I can't even get it to work with IE7. I am using FireFox, which allows me to see portions of the site, but, the full site doesn't load. I don't know what the issue is, but, it seems to be an ongoing problem.

I too have been experiencing the problems today. It is very, very frustrating and my web host is being its typical not-very-helpful self. We both are looking into the matter, however. Thanks for posting about it. Remarkable that the site that gets thousands of daily views and most people use IE, yet I hear from just one person that's experiencing a problem of this nature. I guess that people who are experiencing the problem maybe can't find an e-mail address or something and those who aren't don't care...

Hopefully it'll get fixed soon.

Thanks for checking into it. I've been gone all day, and just got home. However, I am using IE7, and the site is loading perfectly, now. I'm glad it's working!

Ugh, maybe some of us just aren't experiencing problems? I'm still with IE6 (don't ask, long story) and it usually uploads just fine.

I have a Mac and I usually browse with Safari or Firefox and I haven't experienced any problems.

That's all I meant by "don't care." I should have worded it better. If the site's loading fine for you, why <i>would</i> you think to e-mail me and tell me that? I suppose it's really just the hypothetical crowd that figured out a workaround that should have e-mailed me. The frustrating truth is the about the only site e-mail I get is to complain about reviews, ask to buy TV movies that were never released to video, or tell me what DVDs I (being Disney) should release.

Thanks guys for letting me know the variations of your experiences. Strange how the browser can have such a dramatic effect on the site's willingness to load. Apparently, we're going to have upgrade to a slightly higher server in the near-future and that's supposedly going to fix the problem... until traffic again pushes us further.

I was about to post a day or 2 ago about the site not loading, but I waited for a few minutes, and, when I checked again, it was loaded. So, I've been having problems, but they've fixed themselves.

Oh, I'm sorry Luke that that happens to you, but that is too funny!

Anyway, I'm just adding myself to the list of people who use Internet Explorer and the site loads slowly. Now, for whatever reason, soem other pages I go to low slowly as well, and these past few days, Google will never, ever, load, it just says "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage."
