For those that read the whole series, what Harry Potter book was your favorite?

Mine was Prisoner of Azkaban.

Chamber of Secrets is my least favorite.

The fifth book was my favorite, although it was my least favorite of the movies.

I personaly enjoy all of 'em but I picked Deathly Hallows due it's kipling like tone, the plot is darker sinster than the other 6, so far I'm enjoying Harry's last adventure, even if it means I'm saying good bye to my childhood.

Well Harry came out round my pre-teen years (6th grade) and ended on my senior year 06, but you see, 20 is adult hood to me at least, 19 is the end of childhood. + I'm kinda saving the finishing the book towards the end of next week.. I want it to last....

I voted for Half-Blood Prince since it had everything that makes Harry Potter so great, and it set the tone for the last volume. Plus, Harry and Ginny got together and the Weasley Twins' joke shop!!

I'm still not sure myself. I think I need some more time to reread them all.

I picked Prisoner of Azkaban. I loved the story so much. It has the ending that surprised me the most.

But I have to say that Deathly Hallows is really close behind. That was an amazing book.

I'm going to be a bit cleche here and go with DH. But GoF is definatley a close second! That book gave me the oddest dreams (particularly the night I read the graveyard scene).

Well, I would rank them:

1. The Order of the Pheonix
2. The Deathly Hallows
3. The Prisoner of Azkaban
4. The Sorcerer’s Stone
5. The Half-Blood Prince
6. The Chamber of Secrets
7. The Goblet of Fire

Though I absolutely loved Deathly Hallows, reading back over the series (after reading the final book) made me realize how much better it could've been. I mean, really, where were the dementors, the giants and the Inferi in that final battle? And what about all those witches/wizards who were undoubtedly under the Cruciatus Curse? Everything just seemed to end too "hunky-dory."

To me, OotP was the perfect book.

From favorite to least favorite:

4. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Movie-wise... well, it's basically the same if you remove the last two books.

The Half-Blood Prince movie SHOULD be good, since I found the book a bit slow and tedious. I want to be Mr. HBP's friend. So Yates, don't disappoint me.

After wrapping up Deathly Hallows (yes took me that long), I came to a understanding bout myself which I don't want to explain cause it's only for me to understand...... Reading Deathly Hallow was fantasic, riveting and creative. Certain ch. had me on edge, especialy a particular character who I really enjoyed reading bout.....*takes a moment of silence*..........The ending was quite unexpected yet quite fiting for an amazing triology, thank you JK Rowling for writing us an immortal series.

As for the movies, so far I enjoyed 1-5, 3 was pretty good but it was alil fast pace yet there were some parts that seems to drag, but the climax picks up the pace. Deathly Hallows should look so awesome, so far I couldn't find anything that Warners can realy cut except couple of throwaway gags. This should be quite exciting/nerve wrecking of seeing what parts might/will be axed. They better leave the climax as the way it was written
