I personally think BATB the EC, The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Hercules all deserve a special release. Especially with two of them having 10th Anniversaries this year and one last year. I coulkd also see Bedknobs and Broomsticks getting one as well and maybe even Fun and Fancy Free.

Well, BATB:EC had a special release not too long ago. But I say when Disney rereleases BATB in a few more years they'll release both of its sequels. I agree, though, that both The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Hercules should be rereleased. I just recenlty bought Hunchback, though, so I could wait a few more years on its rerelease. I'd also like to see The Rescuers get a rerelease.

I agree!!! Hercules and the Hunchback of Notre Dame definitively deserve spacial treatment!!!

All the package features, "The Sword in the Stone", "The Aristocats", "Robin Hood", "Bedknobs & Broomsticks", "The Rescuers", "Pete's Dragon", "The Fox & the Hound", "The Black Cauldron", "The Great Mouse Detective", "Oliver & Company". "The Rescuers Down Under", "The Hunchback of Notre Dame", "Hercules".

Hercules and The Hunchback Of Notre Dame are in dire need of a Special Edition. If Disney pays any attention to their fans, they would realise how much they want those two DVDs to get a Special Edition!

Black Cauldron needs a better restoration and a better edition.

Any of those mentioned deserve a new 2-Disc special release except for THE BLACK CAULDRON!!

In my own opinion, for whatever it is worth, that was the darkest, non-family friendly Disney movie ever produced. I own the first edition that came out, and will never double-dip for it again. I don't think we have watched once in the last five or six years. But being the completist that I am, I have to have it in my collection.

I agree, I don't understand why this film seems to have so many followers here. I think it is awful!

It's a wonderful movie! It has a great story, characters, and artistry!!!

Hunchback and Hercules deserve the 2-disc treatment asap.

Now it's finished on Broadway Beauty and the Beast deserves a DVD release as well (I'd love Tarzan but with it only being a year old and they're hoping to move it to other countries I don't expect that as much).

Hunchback shouldn't be too hard--it had a stunning DVD release with tons of cut songs, demos etc all left off the DVD. Hercules has a lot of things liek song demos they could include as well...

"The Black Cauldron" is worth it if only because t had such ambition going on behind it. I happen to like the movie, too, because it shows that not all Disney animation is "Snow White", that there's some pretty macabre stuff going on as well. Plus I love the source material, even if the movie does hack it up a lot.

I would love a two-disc "Hercules" and "Hunchback". If the original "Hunchback" DVD even had all the laserdisc features ported over, I would be happier with it. A substantial documentary would be amazing, though I certainly don't expect one.

I like The Black Cauldron, and regardless of one's personal feelings about the film, surely it deserves a revisit on DVD being as it's I believe one of just two numbered "DACs" that is indisputably wider than 1.37:1 that has yet to get an anamorphic transfer. (Hercules being the only other one I can think of offhand).

I would also like to see the package films reissued, or at least the three that were edited (Saludos Amigos, Make Mine Music, Melody Time).

At the very least, PLEASE restore the missing segment to Make Mine Music in R1 like it was released in some European nations and stop watering things down for a small minority of hypersensitive Americans!

Three Cabelleros needs a reissue as well, as it is now out of print.

Lastly, I would like to see any future editions of the restored transfers of Robin Hood and Jungle Book come with a 1.33:1 option, on the same disc or as a seperate purchase option (ie Cars and Incredibles) because you see more of the original animated frame in 1:33.1 versus the horrid "matted widescreen" which merely chops off the tops and bottoms of the frame in order to "fill the screen" on a widescreen TV.

This goes for any subsequent reissues of Aristocats and Sword In The Stone as well as 101 Dalmatians Platinum. Make the full animated frame available, please.

The Rescuers Down Under is also non-anamorphic.

Oh, sorry, I was basing that on my memory of what is listed on the Animated Classics page on this site, and it lists 16:9 next to Rescuers Down Under, which is why I thought it was anamorphic

Hercules should be given one for sure!

I couldn't really get into The Black Cauldron when I watched it[a LONG time ago]
But I would be willing to watch it again! To see if it is good or not. :]

I should be the one that was sorry, lol. I double-checked my DVD and read the review, and it IS anamorphic. Don't know why I thought it was non-anamorphic.

Still, the R1 release sucks compared to the R2/R4 releases (which have a 10-minute making of, and a few vintage cartoons). But a more serious re-release definitely would be great for RDU.

Hon, the R2-release sucks as well. What use are some crappy special features if the movie looks as grainy as it does?

And I would LOVVEEE Beauty and the Beast Broadway on DVD as well and tarzan since I neveer saw it.
