Updates / Live Action- List

Hi,
I really like this page - it's so great.
Two questions:
How often are there updates in the DVD lists?
p.e. in the Live-Action List the Pirates of the Carribean III DVD is shown as not availabe - but you can pre-order it in three different versions.
Is there a fault with the Live-Action / Wonderful World of Disney List? The years 1990-1996 are missing. The list starts in 1997, the list before ends 1990.
The very best regards.

Thanks for the kind words, MarcChris. There's no firm schedule at which the title listings get updated. It's really whenever I can find time and inspiration to get to them. Regarding the TV movies, the 1980-1990 page is going to be extended to cover 1991-1996. But thinking about, I believe all Disney TV movies that aired in that period were Disney Channel ones (which are covered
here), as The Wonderful World of Disney was off-air. Anyway, the TV movies pages are definitely something I intend to go back and update. There's a lot that needs to be done on the older lists. It's just kind of tough to find inspiration to do it when Disney so frustratingly neglects its entire catalog of TV movies, save for new DCOMs.

You could be right with the DC-Movies - so the list should be complete - as there are a few movies listed twice, in the DC-list and the Tv Movies list - this is something you should take a look
I am looking forward to an update for all the lists, as I really take them to get information, as they offer high standard in finding movies - but especially the (newest) Disney Movie Club DVDs are missing.
Greetings

Maybe you can combine the WWOD / Disney Channel Movie lists, as there are a few movies listed twice?
Hope to see the updated lists soon

Hoping to update all the listings pages in a couple of weeks. I'm not seeing where the WWoD and Disney Channel Movie lists have duplicates. I'm pretty happy with those two pages actually, and TV movie updates will most likely just pertain to the Vintage (1954-1979) and the Miscellaneous (1980-1996) ones.

I am looking forward to these updates.
P.e. TIGER TOWN, GONE ARE THE DAYS or LOVE LEADS THE WAY are listed on both lists. And there are a few more.

Oh, you're talking about the Disney Channel Movies list and the 1980-1996 Disney Movie list, then, not the 1997-Present WWoD one. Well, yeah, the 1980s-1996 one and the 1954-1979 lists are the ones that need updating, so they're the ones that will be changed with the others.

And one more question - to what lists would the movies
-The Muppet Movies
-The Great Muppet Caper
belong to? As these are not listed on this site. Or didn't I find them?
Greetings and thank you.

They're not there, because they don't really fit on any of the lists. They were acquired when Disney bought the Muppets, twenty years after they were made. Though Disney's only issued them with the Disney name on DVD, they're obviously not Direct-to-Video. But they also don't fit on the Live Action List without having had a theatrical release. I feel like it's closer to calling the Roger Corman movies Disney films than calling things acquired by Disney like Valiant.

Thank you for this interesting information - so it is the same with
VALIANT?
What about
THE WILD?
Maybe you have some background for these movies. Are they acquired, too? I couldn't find out up to now.

Neither Valiant nor The Wild was an in-house production, which is why they're both found in the middle of our Other Animation Page. Disney funded and had worldwide distribution on The Wild, but it was produced/animated by a small Canadian studio. In Europe, they labeled the DVD as Animated Classic #46, which was the subject of modest debate on this very forum. Valiant is only distributed by Disney in North America and I'm not sure if they had any bigger stake in the movie, which was made by Vanguard.

Thanks for your answers.
I hope it's not to off-topic but by the way....
is it the same with the two SPOT (the dog) DVDs, the LITTLE TOASTER, WHERE THE TOYS COME FROM and the CATERPILLAR?
Wouldn't it be useful to do open a "Acquired" list then?
Greetings

Not sure what CATERPILLAR is, but the other two are considered Direct-to-Video, having not really received traditional theatrical exhibition.

And one more movie I couldn't find is GORDY - but I assume it's another acquired one

What do you think?

Not quite. It had Miramax Films branding upon theatrical release, which I feel disqualifies it from getting included from the Live Action Theatrical Release, regardless of what the VHS and DVD say.

Any news on any updates?
I wish there was something we members could do...I'd love for everything to be updated, and I'd be glad to help, if I could.
There are reviews, for example, for the "Hannah Montana" DVDs, and yet that show isn't even listed under the Disney Channel Shows.
Also, I thought I had seen before (but I could be wrong) lists of movies from various studios on DVDizzy...? I like to keep lists of Disney & Touchstone movies (& Miramax), and, besides IMDB, I don't really know where to turn...

I watched WORLD PUP - SEVENTH INNING FETCH the other day and isn't it the same thing here - there wasn't any Disney branding all over the movie and it's oin the Direct-to-video list.

I'd be happy to see them, too

Especially on the live-action lists e.g. ROB ROY or THE FIGHTING PRINCE is still missing.
Greetings.

Dear Luke,
Happy New Year - and keep on doing such a great job on this website.
I still hope to see the above mentioned updates for the Live-Action-Lists
Greetings

I know there is a thread somewhere here, since I've posted in it, but I just can't find it.
Do you think there ever will be a page on UD with all the TV movies...for some reason, there doesn't seem to be a page for movies (well, many of them are in the 40-minute range) such as The Horse Without A Head, The Yellowstone Cubs, The Bluegrass Special, etc.? For years now, I've off and on worked on a list of these films, but it gets confusing- using Dave Smith's "Disney A to Z", it gets confusing since it mentions TV specials (such as "New Kids on the Block Visit Disney-MGM Studios" or "Totally Minnie") in the same categories as movies and things.
If anyone has a list of all the TV movies, I would be so grateful!
Especially since DMC has been releasing a lot of these films as Exclusives, it would make sense to devote a page on UD for them, besides just the DMC Exclusive thread. I'd love to have a complete list of the Disney films, but it's just a really hard task for me for some reason.
