Does anybody know when Disney is planning to put Scarecrow out on DVD? I remember watching it on TV on Wonderful World of Disney one time and liking it as a kid. I even went as Scarecrow for Halloween.

I was also thinking, it was a made-for TV movie, how would it be if it got a big-screen remake made? I always thought it was a good show and good character, kind of Batmanish (a good guy with a dark side).

They had planned on releasing it a few years but that fell through..
As of now no plans to release it from what I've heard.

dr.syn alias the scarecrow is a very good movie. yes i enjoyed it when i was a kid too. disney was to release it on dvd on 8-3-04, but was cancelled for some stupid reason
i was told that they had to restore the film because it was going bad , but disney does not want to fork out the money to do so, which in my opinion is stupid because they can make a great deal of money off of it!!!!
it was called the scarecrow of romney marsh on the wonderful world of disney. the film was made in 1964, and then it was released in theatres in 1975. i really hope myself that disney releases this film soon. it happens to be my favorite out of all the disney live action films
im always calling disney consumer relations dept and putting a request in for its release here is the number to call 1-800-723-4763 if we can get a large group to call and request it hopefully they will listen to the fans of this great film

Maybe it will appear as a Disney Movie Club Exclusive.
If not a common release I hope it will come to a limited one in the club anyhow.

This one is pretty hard to find on VHS too. I just checked eBay and there's only one, in Pal format, available in Australia.

You can find this title on eBay rather frequently. The trouble is, it goes for a high $$ amount.

Surely Disney knows this. It should serve as impetus to release it on DVD.

In occasional calls to Disney Home Video in the past, I've listed this title as an interest of mine.
