Using The Little Merman's title for volume ten, I've decided to open volume eleven with said title.
Volume Ten can be found....
here!
I just picked up the Clint Eastwood's Iwo Jima five disc set, including SE's of Flags of our Fathers and Letters from Iwo Jima plus a bonus disc with a brand new documentary. In short, it was NOT cheap, but absolutely worth it.
Cheers,
JM

Thank Little Merman for it, I didn't have anything to do with it except (and TLM).
Cheers,
JM

Oh JJ. Not to brag, but I must say that my title was and is a bit better than "Sharkey's Revenge" or whatever. What does that even mean?
Whoever concocted that, excuse me.

Just in time for my first DVD purchases in a few months.
Last night, Loomis picked up copies of Leroy & Stitch and The Story of My Life (aka Mensonges et trahisons et plus si affinités...). The latter is a film I saw last year at the Sydney French Film Festival, and is a very Woody Allen-esque comedy.

Anthony, go to jail. Do not pass "Go." Do not collect $200.
I Am Sam is one of the best movies of all time.

Really? The best of all time?
I thought it was okay, but certainly not the greatest of all time. Outstanding performances from Dakota Fanning, Michelle Pfeiffer (or however you spell her last name) and, of course, my Sean.

Currently on its way to my home from amazon.ca, too!

It's a gift from my boyfriend's birthday

We don't watch much american TV but plan to initiate ourselves to it a bit more. Plus, he once opened the TV to House (in French, too!) and liked it, so I'm hopeful! I had also considered Lost but it was the same price for Lost Season 1 and House Seasons 1 and 2. Not a big choice there.

Just bought this:
Essential Arcand (4 Disc Box Set)
Contains four films from the acclaimed Canadian filmmaker:
The Decline of the American Empire;
Jesus Of Montreal;
Love and Human Remains and one of my favourites,
The Barbarian Invasions.
This is the only way to buy
The Decline of the American Empire in Australia, so it was an easy decision to buy!
