Disney Channel in HD - coming soon

Saw today in the WDC Investor's Newsletter that Disney Channel will be made available in HD in 2008 at some point. Sounds pretty cool to me.

Supposedly by January Disney Channel ... Toon Disney ... and ESPN will be in HD.

Actually, ESPN's already in HD (we have it at my house). The only thing that excites me about Disney Channel and Toon Disney going HD is the prospect of seeing animated classics in that resolution before they even hit Blu-Ray. Then again, considering how seldom both channels show Disney features, I'm not going to get my hopes up.

but the animated classics on disney channel r usually the unrestored versions. i saw alice, jungle book and they looked old.

That is true about ESPN HD ...
It's Toon Disney ... Disney Channel ... and a third one ...
I used to work for DirecTV and it said DirecTV would be carrying three brand-new HD channels from the Walt Disney Company by January 2008 ...

I wonder how quickly these channels will be added to satellite or cable companies when they are available.
The more HD the better.

The will def be on DirecTV in January 08 ... I don't know about any of the other companies though ...
