My husband just emailed me and told me that it's Teddy Bear Weekend this weekend at Epcot! I only found out that there had been such a thing aboout a week ago, when searching for a picture of Disney Bear (whom I adopted at WDW and was too lazy to take a digital picture of to post on another forum). Anyhoo, hopefully Disney Bear will be out for all to meet-

Here's some official info on the event:

The page mentions something about a package costing $200. I know you can see the artists and everything for free (I'm sure). I'm not sure if you must buy a package to meet Disney Bear or not...I'm hoping not...

***UPDATE***
My husband just emailed me again- he called the phone number from the website- The Teddy Bear Weekend is open to the public on Sunday, but Disney Bear is not available... :(...for the whole weekend...He won't be there. :(

Aw, that's too bad! what a cute bear! I wish that I lived close enough to be able to go down to WDW just for the weekend...I miss out on all these special events!

I'll actuually be there for a pin weekend in Sept, but I found out there's a $90 fee for the event! That's a little much for my budget I think...

What a cute Mickey Mouse imprint on the bear's butt!

Do you know if the whole pin event has a fee? Like, are there parts of the event that are open freely to the public?

Disney Bear is cute, & he's super-rare to meet, and I really want to meet him!

I'd love to meet the bear too :)

Here's the link from my insider email:

http://eventservices.disney.go.com/pint ... t?id=20121

It states that it's a private hard-ticket event, so it sounds like there's nothing open for free to the public.

Thanks for the link. I know that teddy bear & doll artists will be there, so I'm guessing that the public will at least be able to buy dolls & teddy bears from these artists.

I'm sure you know that not ALL of the characters sign autographs, because some of them can't. Look at DisneyBear's hands in the picture, they're like giant mittans except without the thumb. THere's no way he could hold a pen or even a stamp.
