More detailed information from the press release:

Warner Home Video have announced the Region 1 DVD release of 300 on 31st July 2007. Woo hoo! This will give me something to watch over the summer TV lull where there's no new shows on :)

Great movie, I saw it twice because I couldn't resist seeing it in IMAX...

Both the Widescreen single disc and 2 Disc special edition covers look really great. I really like the 2 Disc Special Edition cover more. I really can't wait until July 31st. Seeing 300 3 times now I can add it to my DVD collection.

I'm bumping this thread so that information about store exclusives can be posted.

As of now, I don't know of any exclusives for the US. However, Best Buy Canada has this:

http://www.bestbuy.ca/multimedia/produc ... 135802.jpg

I am willing to bet Best Buy U.S. will also have this set. If we don't get this, hopefully we'll get a steelbook.

EzyDVD has this:

If anyone else comes across any store exclusives for this release, please post them.

I'm really excited for this movie to come to DVD. Everyone who I have talked to who saw this movie (boy or girl) said it was really good. I will definately be renting 300 on DVD so I can find out what all the hype is about.

I won't be getting 300 this year. It was asolutely an absolutely hilarious movie, if you don't take it too seriously and conside that the original comic by Frank Miller was a satire on fascism. It's really entertaining, even for dentists, the get to look at many open mouths :D
I'll wait till the price for the DVD drops .

Tell us how you really feel?

Good for you. You don't like it. That's cool. I really enjoyed it. That's cool, too.

Oh, and as far as being "just another Hollywood big budget movie that sucked", you couldn't be more wrong. It cost just $65 million to make, and grossed $456,014,939.00 worldwide. $210,614,939.00 of that total was domestic. I'd say there were far more people who enjoyed this movie, than thought it sucked.

Thanks for playing! :D

I don't mind you saying you dislike the movie but to say the CG is crap, man you really have poor eyesight. The CG what made this movie amazing as having the movie appears similar to the comic in ways just like what Sin City did(also by Frank Miller).

Definetly getting this because

THIS IS SPARTA!!!!!

I dont mean that at all. I think it looked beautiful, dont get me wrong. Just that that's all it really had going for it. Sorry, but I expected at least decent story out of it. It wasnt that great.

And MM1, I'm not trying to start a fight. I just wanted to give my opinion, that's all.

I think it had a decent story. It was just told more with imagery than words.

I didn't think you were trying to start a fight. I took no offence to what you said. I'm just offering up my opinion of your opinion! ;)

God, sets these days are getting so out of hand. What am I going to do with my exclusive Spartan helmet replica? Run around wearing it outside proclaiming that "TONIGHT I DINE IN HELL!"?
