OMG! They look nothing like the dolls! Where are the anorexic lollipop bodies, HUGE Angelina Jolie lips, and giant wanna-be anime eyes???? They don't have nearly enough caked on make-up! So fake! Gag me with a spoon! I am SOOOOOOOO disappointed.

Is it going to be a satire, a black comedy, or... Material Girls Part 2?

Hmm...I'm confused. The portrayal of the doll characters in the movie do not give the same bratty vibes the dolls give. The movie is trying to...give a good message. A good, but predictable and often over used message about high school cliques. How can this movie be based on the dolls? Either, they're changing the dolls or the doll makers had the wrong idea when designing the dolls to convey a good message from the start.

I don't know how these girls can still be called "bratz" if they aren't really based on the trailer. I guess they're trying to say, you can look like a total brat, but still be a good person so good people should do the world a favor and look like bratz because a superficial society is the way to go????

What's even more strange than that is the fact that those girls look absolutely nothing like the dolls as it is. The dolls are ridiculously skanky looking and have abnormally large lips; these girls, on the other hand, don't possess any of those traits.

Hm...

*sniff* Mmm.... :float: What a pleasing aroma. For a second, I thought I was at World Showcase or a Thanksgiving feast, but I'm actually smelling a future summer movie season turkey. ^_^

Cheers,

In the television show, Jade was a magazine intern for a woman named Burdine. Prue seemed to emulate Burdine somewhat in C III, but I hope that was a huge coincidence. She was framed by Burdine's other employees, and was consequently fired. Burdine called Jade and her friends "brats," so one of the girls - I can't remember which one - decided that they should start their own magazine and call it Brats Magazine. "Brats? That's what Burdine calls us!" "Well, we'll just make it our own." That's why there's a "z" in place of an "s."

Mm-hmm. From the looks of everything, the movie is nothing like the series, so I have no idea where their group name will come from in this version.

Maybe they're afraid a "Real" Bratz movie would attract negative publicity and attention.

Yeah, I agree, this movie is totally different to the dolls. I mean the dolls had oversized lollipop heads, big botoxy lips and g-strings, and these girls are the total opposite of that. I think that they're just trying to get some credibility for the franchise now. Not to say that I don't like the dolls, cause they're great to make fun of, but this movie seems pretty bad. On a side note, did everyone notice the song playing the trailer is from none other than Australia's very own The Veronicas! It's called Everything I'm Not, and is their second single from their debut album "The Secret Life of the Veronicas". What does everyone think of them? I love them, maybe it's cause I'm a twin, but I can really relate to them. Oh and another side note- they really should've made those Pussycat Dolls dolls because they'd kill the Bratz franchise. I mean dolls with bars and poles would just knock their big heads right off wouldn't they? Damn those parental groups protesting!

Well, James, I'm a fan of The Veronicas, too. Come check out the not-made-yet-but-will-be-by-the-time-you-read-this The Official The Veronicas Thread in Off-Topic!!!

wow.

the apocolypse is upon us.

no seriously though, at the end of the trailer, the "4real" and "OMG" parts really scared me. Who makes these movies? A product if I ever saw one.

The animated movies are horrid and now a LIVE-ACTION one is being done?! Judging by the trailer, the film is for very young children and people in comas.

But thanks for making my big sister happy as a clown. :P
