That's great news, it's cool that Disney's continuing releasing these, but where's Talespin? Isn't that paired with Darkwing Duck releases? It would seriously suck if Disney has dropped Talespin cause it didn't sell as well or something.
Anyway, still great news there.

What happen to TaleSpin it should have been paired with Darkwing Duck. Maybe it will be announce later this week. At least Darkwing Duck and the Tick are coming out earlier not like last year. Last year Desperate Housewives, TaleSpin, Darkwing Duck, Tick and Brother Bear 2.
But if TaleSpin does get a volume 2 Luke will know about it first.
I hope this doesn't affect Rescue Rangers Volume 3.

I think the Canadian price is just a tad off, up here in B.C I've bought all previous releases (Talespin, Darkwing, Rescue Rangers, Gummi Bears and Ducktales) all for $24-$27 and that was just two days after the store put them out on the shelves. Hopefully Talespin will be announced for a release as well.

Thats MSRP. Retaill will be about 30% less.

Perhaps they are wating to release TaleSpin until The Jungle Book 2-disc Platinum edition (Also I am crossing my fingers for Jungle Cubs to be released too that day or shortly after) It would be great publicity... TaleSpin Volume 2 and Jungle Cubs Volume 1 (better be 3-disc or more) and the Jungle Book DVD released on the same day or shortly after... I honestly think there is still hope for The Litte Mermaid TV Series to be released on DVD... Perhaps when The Litte Mermaid III is released we will see the tv series as well on DVD...

I'm extatic about this. I was really worried that Darkwing Duck volume 1 hadn't sold well enough to warrant a volume 2 (I'm still the only person to buy volume 1 from the local Wal Mart, and I bought it on release day).

I'm very worried for Tale Spin volume 2 though, but I'm thinking it'll be used to help promote TJB, and will be among the october sets.

I can't wait to see the volume 2 of Darkwing Duck on Dvd. I love it. I hope The Rescue Rangers to see volume 3.

Ah, yeah, they could release Talespin alongside The Jungle Book, I totally forgot about that, Hopefully Jungle Cubs is released then too, was it two seasons or one season? Cause if it was just one season, then we wouldn't have to worry about sales or anything, because we'd have it in one go.

After weeks of being $32.99 on amazon.com, they just slashed the price of DW Volume 2 to $19.99 ahead of Tuesday's release (Bit annoyed as I ordered it from Deep Discount already, oh well!).

I reckon this release REALLY needs our support if we wanna see any more Disney TV on DVD at all - they've gone scarily quiet about all the remaining volumes of the other shows, and we all know what happened with Gargoyles... Besides, DW is worth it anyway!

Looking forward to this! After the Disney Treasures sets, these are what I like to get most. I will be really disappointed if we don't get more of the shows that have already been released though, and more debut releases! I badly want more Gummi Bears and TaleSpin! My favorite TaleSpin episodes haven't been released yet! More than anything though, I wish they'd get the whole Little Mermaid show out there, and New Adv. of Winnie the Pooh. They keep releasing Pooh in various other forms, and hate those single disc releases like they did of Quack Pack and Goof Troop, especially since I didn't get to see much of Quack Pack, so big sets would rock! I'd love to see the less popular stuff too, like Wuzzles, Shnookums and Meat, etc... The ones based on movies would be the best though, like Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Hercules, and Tarzan. And what about Kim Possible? That'd be AWESOME!!! Still can't believe they never released anymore Lizzie McGuire. That shows was incredibly popular when it was on. Only Disney TV series I can think of that I've missed as a season set so far is the second set of Gargoyles. I'll get it eventually though.

Ah, but another most anticipated one for me, that I won't count on any time soon, is "Honey I Shrunk the Kids" the TV show! I LOVED that show!

Only a few more hours to go... Tomorrow is offically Darkwing Duck Day for me. My friends all think I'm crazy for still loving this show, but I really can't help it. DWD is just too awesome.

I'm really worried that all the episodes won't make it to DVD. After Volume 2 there are still enough episodes for a 3-disc volume 3 set, but after that there are less than 10 remaining. Unless we get a 4 disc volume 3 I'm thinking the last few episodes (which are some of the best) wont be released.

Looks like I may be able to pick it up after all! Only 20 bucks at Best Buy, and I wonder if it's even cheaper at some places like Target or Wal-Mart! Though probably not. I wouldn't worry YET about the whole show coming out. I'm sure they would try to split it up for two more sets probably, or one four discer. I'm more worried about getting shows they haven't released yet. I still need that second Gargoyles set, but I do wish they would wake up and release the rest of it and Lizzie!

Anyway, Darkwing Duck was a GREAT show, love it! However, I'm a bigger fan of some of the others, like DuckTales and TaleSpin, and the ones based on movies...

They could just put Vol. 4 out as a 2 disc set

Got my Darkwing 2 Tuesday morning at Best Buy for 19.99, plus 2 DVDs on sale for 3.99: The Producers in widescreen (the new, musical version) and Orgazmo. Funny, funny stuff. The Best Buy add also advertised the 3-disc King Kong for 9.99, and I probably would have gotten it, even though I was spending too much already, but in the store they were trying to give the impression that it was the single disc version that was on sale, and that's all they even had on the shelves. Searched the whole store, ha. Cheap jerks! Reminds me of the time they were supposed to have the Napoleon Dynamite Collector's Editions on sale with the Holographic motion slip covers, but they took off the slipcovers from all of them that week.

So did Tailspin fall off the map? I was hoping to go with the Darkwing/TS double header again.

I wouldn't assume anything just yet. They released Darkwing with The Tick this time I believe, though it wasn't a special deal. I suspect TaleSpin MIGHT come out in October with Jungle Book? Though, we haven't heard anything yet, and that seems strange. We'll just have to see what the next Disney TV set announcement is. I'll worry if it's not Talespin and Gummi Bears, or one of those and something totally unreleased.

I recently have gone back and started to get the Disney Afternoon sets and have wondered how this episode count thing is going to play out. Just what are the episode counts for:

Wuzzles
Pooh
Gummi Bears
Duck Tales
Rescue Rangers
Tale Spin
Darkwing Duck
Goof Troop
Bonkers
Aladdin
Little Mermaid
Hercules
Tarzan
Quack Pack
Mighty Ducks
Gargoyles

I think they quit being the Disney Afternoon after that. Anyway, I've looked on IMDB.com but some are confusing. There's 95 episodes of Gummi Bears but how many half hour blocks are there really? Anyway, I've noticed that with Duck Tales it was going to be hard to get them all on 3 sets. Same with Darkwing even though Darkwing gets more episodes per disc than Duck Tales. I don't have the Gargoyles sets but I understand only one more Season 2 set is required so why aren't these other shows able to fit onto 3 3 disc sets? They all should have close to the same episode counts by the mid 90's when a new show would be done each year. Why didn't Disney determine how many episodes would fit on a set if divided evenly from day one? The way they're doing this has really been poorly done from day one. Everything from putting the pilots of volume 2 to poor distribution. And why only 1 per year? Why not 1 per 6 months or so like other older TV show season sets?

I'm very disappointed in how Disney releases the older material. Even though the Muppet Show season 2 is a great set, will it be another 2 years until season 3? Why couldn't they have released Muppets Tonight last year as they got the rights issues together for Season 2? They should be doing these as 5 disc sets like the Fraggle box sets. I'm not a huge Fraggle fan but I buy just for the behind the scenes stuff on Henson. Disney owns several vintage already made films on the subject but will we ever see these?

Sorry to be bitter but Disney is second only to Classic Media in their p*** poor way of handling classic season sets....
