Not much has been said about this, but an imageener said that a Toy Story ride would be coming to Magic Kingdom within 2008. He said it was going to be "the best ride yet". Any thoughts on a TS ride?

From what I understand it's going to be like the Buzz Lightyear ride where it integrates some kind of arcade style play. I think it's interesting. I'm only sad that when I go in September it won't be open yet

It is at MGM, where Who Wants to Be a Millionaire-Play It! used to be.

This is a ride designed specifically for Disney's California Adventure Park (hence the original name, Toy Story MIDWAY Mania with Paradise Pier's Midway being the setting), but Disney-MGM Studios will receive it as well.

A Toy Story ride would be really cool for Disney. I love the interactive Buzz Lightyear ride. It is one of my favorite parts of the Magic Kingdom.

I walked by the site of "Who Wants to be a Millionaire", in November 2006, and there was construction already underway, but no indication of what attraction was coming or a timetable. So now I know!
With John Lasseter taking over as the chief creative officer last year, I think we can expect a few more Pixar based rides to turn up, too.

Well, I don't see why there's a need for another Toy Story attraction.

Oh well...

In March I was in MGM and you could tell that they were working on Toy Story Mania, but I'm still not exactly sure what it is going to be like or when it is slated to open. It could be interesting, I just hope it's not too much like the Buzz Lightyear ride in the MK, but I guess only time can tell.

I rode Toy Story Mania today!!! Jim Hill Media posted a link last week for a Craigslist ad for casting people to ride it and be filmed, and I emailed them, and they chose me, so I went! It's so much fun, but the 3D wasn't working yet. It's so cool! I don't want to give much away, but it's an awesome attraction- I had so much fun, riding it many times! It's very colorful, and kind of reminiscent of Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters, but I liked TSM even better!!! We weren't allowed to take pictures, so I have none.
Also, they chose me to do an interview; the ride footage and my interview may be used in publicity for WDW/DL/Toy Story Mania! On the Travel Channel, the resort DVDs, maybe Disney Channel. It was very cool.
Disney wanted the people who helped out to leave the park afterward, but I doubt many did- I made a friend and we watched a mini parade of Disney Channel Stars (they're there for the Disney Channel Games)- I saw the Jonas Brothers, Cheetah Girls, and Selena Gomez! It was awesome!!!!

Am I going to enjoy TSM? We're going to WDW in September.

Absolutely! It's fun for kids and grown-ups- if you like Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters, you'll love TSM! It's the same type of ride, but different. There are different "stations" and you play different games.
The theming is some of the best theming I've seen for an attraction, too.
