Once in a while, I'll find a mistake on UD. I figured I'd make a thread about (since I'm so nit-picky).

On the "Jump In!" review, the picture of Mary's 2 friends has the wrong caption.

On the Other Animation section, under Pixar, "Ratatouille" has a date of 2006, instead of 2007.

Yep, it's supposed to read:

Laivan Greene and Shanica Knowles co-star as fellow Joy Jumpers/Hot Chili Steppers Keisha and Shauna

Unless, of course, someone could think of something more humorous to place for that caption, as I couldn't.

Thanks. I've fixed both. Between the several thousands of paragraphs and the all-encompassing title listings, there are bound to be a lot of errors that slip past us no matter how much time I spend proof-reading/editing/updating. Sadly, few of the thousands of readers to this site are savvy enough to e-mail me upon spotting errors. E-mail is usually the best way, though, and my address is prominently featured around the site.

By the way, I'm still reformatting <i>Great Mouse Detective</i> a bit and when it's uploaded, it will take into account the other issue you pointed out recently.

Found a minor mistake...

On the Upcoming Releases schedule, under the Secrets/Stories/Magic DVD it says "Dianne Miller Disney" when it should be "Diane Disney Miller"

I found a minor, minor mistake:

On the HSM 2-disc review, the 2nd paragraph under the pictures of Taylor/Chad & Ryan/Sharpay has an unneeded "the":

The TV Shows on DVD page (http://www.ultimatedisney.com/tvshows.html) says that "Gummi Bears" isn't available on DVD, but it is (there's even a UD review on it).

Yes, that's one of about 1,000 outdated issues that need to be corrected with the TV Shows page. They're to be addressed and the page divided into pages at some point in the future.

On the "Greyfriars Bobby" review, the first picture, of Jock, should say "1860s" instead of "1960s".

I found something. On the "Babes In Toyland" review, under extras it says "subtittles" instead of "subtitles." If someone could fix that, it would make my day!

Two things:

On the front page looks is spelled "loosk" from todays update


In the "Vacancy" review, under the DVD Details, it says that it is in 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen, but in the actual review, it's listed as 2.40:1 anamorphic widescreen.

The last picture in the "The Black Cauldron" review says Dallben, when it means to say Fflewdur Fflam.

My entire 101 Dalmatians (Limited Edition) review makes no sense what so ever. I've checked, and the illogical ramblings with random missing words reproduced on the page are indeed what I sent Luke for the "review" all those years ago.

I must have been drunk that day.

In the Chicago Razzle-Dazzle review, Liza Minnelli is spelled wrong when the bonus feature is listed and on the picture above it.

On the Animated Classics page, the link to the review for "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" just brings you back to the Animated Classics page...clicking on the title of the film brings you to the review, but the "review" link doesn't.

The "Review" link is supposed to open up a new window with the oldschool "column" style review. I guess the links don't work properly on some computers, since it may interpret it as an unwanted pop-up.

I usually just click on the movie name, I guess, and not "review"...

*edit*- No, I definitely usually right click on "review", and that usually opens up the review in a new tab or window...I guess on the old column-style reviews, it just opens into a new pop-up...I know that I've read those before, so I guess for those I have clicked on the movie name...?

The last I checked the Walt Disney Treasures page still had Destino listed instead of the Annette Replacement

So, I was updating my own personal DVD list when I figured that I'd make a list of things that need fixing or updating here on UD's DVD pages. I know that you work so hard on this site, Luke- I'm not trying to bash you at all! I just wanted to mention some things that I noticed. I know that I used the DVD lists here long before joining the forum, and I guess I want other people to be able to trust UD for up-to-date information. I also wanted to say that I am glad that the Live Action (Pre-1980) page was pretty up-to-date with mentioning DMC Exclusives. I apologize in advance if I have made any mistakes with this list.

Okay, here's my list:

Direct-to-Video page
1. Under "New & Upcoming", Walt Disney's Legacy Collection: Disneyland- Secrets, Stories & Magic is listed. This has since come out in the WDT line.

2. Ditto for The Adventures of Oswald.

3. Disney Princess Enchanted Tales: A Kingdom of Kindness has come out under the title Disney Princess Enchanted Tales: Follow Your Dreams, and "Promises, Promises" was replaced with "Keys to the Kingdom" (from what I've read- I still haven't watched it yet).

4. The Little Mermaid III has come out under the title The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning.

5. Tinker Bell and the Ring of Belief has come out under the title Tinker Bell.

6. Snow Buddies and Space Buddies should be added to the "Disney's Live Action Direct-to-Video Features" list.

7. Waves 7 & 8 should be added to the Walt Disney Treasures list.

8. The High School Musical and Hannah Montana DVD games should be added to the "DIsney DVD Games" list.

Live Action (Pre-1980) page
9. Since The Reluctant Dragon is available as a DMC Exclusive, maybe that should be mentioned.

10. The Incredible Journey is available as a DMC Exclusive (it's listed as having no DVD).

11. Ditto with The Fighting Prince of Donegal.

12. Dr. Syn, Alias the Scarecrow is listed as not having a DVD, but the Treasures set is out now.

13. Ride a Wild Pony is available as a DMC Exclusive (it's listed as having no DVD).

Live Action (1980-Present) page
14. High School Musical 3: Senior Year is coming to DVD Feb. 17, but no mention of that is made.

15. Beverly Hills Chihuahua is coming to DVD March 3, but no mention of that is made.

16. Prince Caspian is now on DVD, and that is not mentioned.

17. Air Bud is being rereleased, and there is no mention of that.

18. Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience is coming to theaters Feb. 27, and there is no mention of that.

19. Camilla Belle's name is mispelled (as "Bell") for Rip Girls.

20. The Scarecrow of Romney Marsh makes no mention of the WDT set.

21. Polly is available as a DMC Exclusive, and there is no mention of that.

22. Ditto with Polly, Comin' Home!.

24. "The Gummi Bears" is listed as being unavailable, but it is available (Vol. 1).

25. Only Volume 1 of "DuckTales" is definitely mentioned, but Volume 2 & Volume 3 are also available.

26. Ditto for "Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers" (Volume 2 is also available).

27. Ditto for "TaleSpin" (Volume 2 is also available).

28.Ditto for "Darkwing Duck" (Volume 2 is also available).

General things missing
60. The Secret of the Magic Gourd (1/27/09) is not mentioned on any page.

61. Why is there no TV Anthology Movies/shorts page? I know the 1954-1979 movies page exists, but movies such as The Boy Who Flew With Condors, Stub, The Best Cow Dog in the West, Little Dog Lost, Yellowstone Cubs, Bluegrass Special, and The Horse Without a Head are not listed. (I know that from the front page, there is a link that brings you to the forum's DMC Exclusives page...but still...)

That's all that I have. Again, I'm not trying to criticize anyone's work here, but I feel that UD is such a great resource, it's a shame that some people can't get up-to-date information here. I do appreciate everyone's work here!

I don't know if this is a mistake or not, but I had to check the UD review of Sleeping Beauty: Special Edition for something, and noticed that Jack Seiley's name has been changed to Jason Seiver. Any reason why a fictional Long Island psychiatrist (with a misspelt name) is now writing for a Disney DVD site?

I'm not much of a computer whiz...at all but if there was any way I could help out with correcting any of the mistakes found let me know I have a lot of free time on my hands, I'd probably need a quick lesson or two in how to make the changes etc.
