Also, I hate to sound pushy, but "whose" is spelled and pronounced "who's".

Jeez, what is it with people going all "grammar police" on everyone every chance they get? I know I'm just the new guy around here, meaning my thoughts aren't worth much, but I just don't see the point in making off-topic one liners like the one that was just posted. It's just not very receptive to BrianG or any other "noob" who's having enough of a hard time settling in here as it is.

But, yeah, I'll quit now before people start throwing tomatoes at me. Have a nice day! :eye:

I disagree Tickler. I don't think just because it is an internet messageboard is any excuse to use bad grammar. I am getting very frustrated marking papers and seeing internet lingo and abbreviations popping into them.

Secondly is there any limit on the number of times I can change my name, I have been Mr. Toad for two years now. Maybe I will change back to being JimmyJackJr.(Just kidding Luke)

Writing "whose" instead of "who's" is a homophone error, not internet lingo. I do agree with you regarding the use of text messaging abbreviations on a mesage board, though; it makes people take your thoughts and opinions much less seriously.

All I'm saying is that pointing out unforced grammatical errors isn't the best way to greet a new member. When you add that little bit of criticism at the end of your on-topic post, it's not so bad, but when your entire message revolves around the correction of that particular error, it just looks as though you're completely indifferent towards his actual post and that you're just looking to put him down.

Back on topic, though, I think I'll ask Luke to take out the "The" in my name just because it feels weird seeing the very formal people here write "hello, The Tickler" and "thank you, The Tickler" instead of just calling me Tickler like everyone else, haha.

Sorry about not spelling who's correctly. My son wanted to go to ChuckECheese.com so I was typing fast.

I agree. Often I like to correct people, but in a humorous way (such as JiminyCrick's recurring "BUMO" and the common misspelling of my name by various forum members), while still staying on topic. I'd never go out of my way to make a post that comes off as "YOU FRICKIN' MORON! YOU FORGOT TO ADD AN APOSTROPHE!".

And to keep this still on-topic, BrianG, if you still want to change your name, Luke's e-mail is tsdvd@yahoo.com

Luke doesn't like changing names often (cause then everyone will want to do it), but if you explain why and have a good reason, he'll most likely do it for you. Some of the members I know who went through name changes...

Daniel Jake to ~Daniel~
DisneyFan 2000 to Disney-Fan
JimmyJackJunior to Mr. Toad
joshthesim26 to Josh
juliancarter to Julian Carter
SecretDisneyMan to Just Myself
Matt to BATBfan1 to Matt (but that involved two whole separate accounts)
mexico_ride to edsouth
ThinkTink to The Little Merman
Timon/Pumba fan to Timon/Pumbaa fan
Tinkerbell to Jessica

I'm sure there have been more, but those are the only ones I remember at the moment.

BTW, BrianG, how was ChuckECheese.com? :D

Escapay, I am officially offended. :P You take jabs at my new name constantly yet fail to remember it in this crucial moment! I'm not sure our relationship will be able to recover from this one...

And what about the people whose native language is not English- like me for example? Shouldn't we visit the forum just because we don't speak and write English perfectly?

ChuckECheese.com SUCKS!!

Why my son likes this site, I have no clue.....but every night we click on videos he won't watch and I play the games he points to. I guess it's our male-bonding time.

Oy, I checked it out just to see how it was....boy, that's a loud site! I tried the snowboard and pizza game, but they got boring quickly.

If you want male-bonding time with your son, have him play this game

Woohoo! Red isn't my colour at all, so that's a huge relief.

I don't know much about this place yet, but I do know that having Escapay on your side is considered a big deal around here, so you can bet that I'm jumping in the air and clapping my feet together à la Archie Andrews right now.

Pardon my ignorance, but what did that have to do with anything? Of course, it DOES suck. It was created out of annoyances.

:?

I'm never changing my name.

Reread the entire thread, but pay a bit more attention to BrianG and my posts. ;)
