Pluto's voice

Pluto (the REAL Pluto!) first appeared in "The Picnic". He was for the first time named "Pluto" in "Mickey Steps Out". Am I right?
In "Mickey's Nightmare" or in "Trader Mickey" he was equipped with the voice we all know. Who was the actor of his well-known voice? Pinto Colvig or Clarence Nash?
Kind regards
Steffen

I would go with the first one. Clarence Nash did Donald Duck's voice.

Pinto Colvig did, although the voice was mostly barking and slobber sounds.

That's right, it was Colvig. And today, such a trend still continues with Pluto now being voiced by Bill Farmer.

Yep! Pinto Colvig did the voice for Pluto as well as the voice of Goofy. Pluto does not speak in every cartoon, just barks, growls and yawns. That's it.

I don't know who was resposible for the awful voice Pluto had from the beginning, but happily it became a "true" dog-voice - made of Pinto Colvig. Thank you for the information!
Kind regards

you do know, this is trivial, that Pluto does say one thing. . .
Pluto has been injured, Mickey comes to his side.
"speak to me Pluto! Speak to me!" Mickey cries with emotion!- Pluto's response:
"Kiss Me"
That's gotta be a five dollar gag
