2006 Movie Survivor Round 26 (Now Closed)

I'm trying to find an excuse not to study for my exams, so I've decided to act as Mr. Toad's substitute for one time only. Here's what he would've said:

Welcome to the 2006 Film Survivor. This was Himself's second year doing this, and I hope this will be as successful as last years.

The 2006 Film Survivor will decide which film out of films from 2006 is best. Included will be all films in major release from January 6th 2006 though December 29th 2006 (and yes CITS, I got The Illusionist and Babel ) with a few exceptions (I don't see many UDers seeing Blood Rayne or Van Wilder: Rise of the Taj ). As usual, rules are fairly simple:

All votes are counted- Regardless of post count. (Note to all voters: Try to vote for movies that you disliked/haven't seen that you think others would want out; in other words, don't vote for a certain film just yet if none of the other voters are ready to vote for it. This has been a problem lately and we've been having ties because the votes were too varied.)

Voting will last two days or until I return to close the round because of unanimous votes.

You are voting for four(4) movies with four movies leaving each round. We've had problems with this rule in the first two rounds, and I've tolerated it. From now on, however, any votes with less than five movies will not be counted. Please, also remember to put your votes in bold lettering.

Films that get voted off are the ones we like least or haven't seen.

NOTE: Everyone should read the previously voted off films before casting your vote. In the 2005 Film Survivor's round five, one of the films voted out, The Fog, was already voted out in the first round, therefore the sixth place went to the seventh highest voted film, Elektra. Also, some voters had been voting badly, i.e., going on for countless rounds trying to get a film voted out that no one else voted for. Some posters only voted for one film, others tried to use all 6 votes to eliminate films no one else had been voting for. Try to go with the popular vote, or at the very least try to form an alliance if you are that persistent.

Previously Voted Out:
Round One - Hostel, Doogal, Ultraviolet, The Hills Have Eyes, Little Man, Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning

I'll admit, I acted ignorantly in voting for it. This was the first time I'd ever heard of this film, so I didn't think it would be much of a loss if it got eliminated.

Then again, I was pissed off when people voted for Volver and Curse of the Golden Flower (other relatively unknown gems), so maybe I shouldn't've perceived it the way I did.

I'll make sure to check out The Painted Veil when I get the chance, though, seeing as you're making it sound like a great watch.

Hey, I felt the same way when Volver and Curse of the Flower were voted off. If you liked those two, you should also like the Painted Veil.

I thought Luke was in the Eastern time zone. Either way, it's now past 7pm Central, so we can officially close it.
