I thought it would be fun to make a post about each Diney baddie every once and a while and have everyone talk about what they like/dislike about the villain. I deciede to go in chronlogical order so. What is everyone's opinion on Disney's infamous cold hearted villainess The Queen?

She should have cut off Snow White's head to make sure she'd stay dead. She was willing to have someone cut out her heart, it seems like a wimpy back up plan to just have her eat a poisoned apple.

Wow now that you mention it, she should have made sure she's dead! Except not by cutting her head off...eeegghhh. Wait what am I saying!? I like Snow White lol.
What I like about the Evil Queen:
-I like her design, she's one of those pretty/creepy ladys.
-Her voice is great. Timber me shivers they've gone down my spine!
-Her incognito Old Lady outfit is pretty good.
-I love it when she kicked the bucket towards the skeleton and says "Thirsty? Have a drink!"
What I don't like about the Queen:
-C'mon now, is being the fairest in all the land really that necessary? Go run for Miss Universe and see who the fairest of land really is!
-Geez woman! Think of better ways to kill a person with out risk them ever waking back up!
-Instead of a heart...why not a brain? or a leg? and arm even. But a heart? Whatta a thriller job for the hunter.

Always wondered what she looked like without that weird hood. Maybe in normal clothes or something. Still, one thing about that story puzzles me. I can't believe such a vain woman could ever bare to become and ugly, old hag...

I've always had mixed feelings about the Evil Queen. She's a great first villain, but I find her very stale. For one, she wants beauty, but you never really get to see why she was the "fairest of the land" before Snow White came along. I always thought she was rather ugly.
And her voice...ugh. Then again, I have a great dislike for all things related to Snow White, so...

I like the Queen's voice. I, too, would like to see her without her hood (I mean, during the transformation scene, we can see her hair change color, but that's all we see). This question isn't so much about the Queen as it is the Magic Mirror, but why, when the Queen probably asked every day who the fairest in the land is, did the Mirror, all of a sudden one day, say that Snow White was the Queen? Unless it was Snow White's 16th birthday and she was finally legal or something. But one random day the Mirror realized that Snow White was pretty? I think that the apple plan was smart- the Queen thought that Snow White was in the cottage now, with no one but herself and the dwarfs knowing where she is.
She's not my favorite villain- she's somewhere in the middle for me. But, she's still a good villain.

Good post....I like it.
The Queen has always been one of my favorite Disney characters. Snow White was one of the first Disney movies I ever saw (definetely under the age of 5) and I remember thinking "but the queen is much prettier than Snow White!".
I do however have some objections. i don't feel we get enough of her. Her role isnt too well developed, and her screen time isn't much (probably because of the difficulty back then to handle humans). But then again, valuable things are never plentiful, so I guess her short appearences make her more mysterious.
Her voice? Hmmm...I don;t love it.But it doesn't bother me. I take it as part of the package. And I agree with you guys, I would have liked to have seen her without the hood. But wouldn;t she lose her charm? Can you guys picture maleficent weating jeans and a t-shirt???

I guess if Snow White was gradually becoming prettier, and the queen asked everyday, there would have to be one day where Snow White would be considered prettier. But that's really just a technicality in a world where queens disguised as old hags carry magic apples to kill princesses.
When I was little I loved that movie. My favourite part is the scene where she walks down the stairs with her sweeping cloak, smoothly flowing behind her. For a disney villain, she definitely has one of the coolest costumes.

I have always felt that we never got enough of the queen. I also feel we never saw enough of Maleficent. Disney should do prequels to SW & SB so we get these two characthers a bit more well rounded. But I agree that her short apperances make her more mysterious and intresting. I also always wondered what she'd look like with out her hood. I own Top Secret Villain Files and it counts down the best villains and there is a pic of her without her queen garb

The Queen is a fantastic villain. True, we may not have much backstory on her, but she's still a character that can be appreciated on many different levels. Like a lot of people in the real world who might fall into the less-than-pleasant category, she's more concerned with spiting others than bettering herself. She's obsessed with beauty, but she'll happily transform herself into the epitome of ugliness if that's what it takes to get to Snow White. Her vanity is just a smokescreen for her hatred of her stepdaughter, which probably stems from jealousy of her cheerfulness and gentleness rather than her looks. I also love the fact that she only seems truly at ease after her transformation – as if she’s glad to be able to let all that inner ugliness just ooze out.
