She's a well-known american singer who was mostly active during the 70's. She's had a string of pop hits, my favorite being "We're All Alone" (1977). I'm sure many of you are familiar with it ("...close the window, calm the light, and it will be alright, no need to bother now...").
I've been hooked on her songs for the last few months. Also her native-american background makes for an exotic look. She was also married to Kris Kristofferson for a few years.

Like the song by the way, the video is very 70s

Hey Caucus, Glad you liked the song. I really have no idea whether Rita is related in anyway to Jennifer Coolidge. I tried to look it up but found no evidence of it

She sang the title song for Octopussy 'All Time High', and the music video can be found on the DVD.
