I read that some of you are using photoshop for making photos ,dvdcover ,etc that are posted here. Are you using the full version or photoshop elements because the full version is over $500 dollars. I haave paint shop pro version 8.

I just installed Photoshop CS2 on my new laptop, today! We have a licensed copy at work, which we install on all of our computers, because we do a lot of digital work on photographs, since I work at a photolab. There is a Photoshop CS3 Beta, currently, which we have installed on one of our computers at work. I might download the Beta to my laptop at some point.
Anyway, I didn't have to pay a thing, since it is paid for by my job! I love Photoshop! You can do a great many things with it.

I used to use Paint Shop Pro in high school but I hated it because of the way it renders text. (I was using an earlier version, so I don't know if things have improved since then.) I switched to Photoshop CS the summer before I entered college because I was fed up with PSP and I had an excuse to play with the professional, expensive stuff. (I was a graphic arts major.)
You can buy the complete Adobe CS2 package (which includes Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, GoLive, Acrobat Pro, and Dreamweaver) for $370 from <a href="

Elements is ok, and personally I would recommend it over Paint Shop Pro.
A lot of people get Photoshop cheap from schools as well. If you are a student, a lot of times the school will offer discounts or even free software depending on your major.
