Where's this logo from? I think it was in "The Lion King: Special Edition" that's released on 2-Disc DVD in fall 2003. Where else was the logo from? When's it first released?

Can't wait to see the new WDFA logo. I heard they've created a new one to go with all WDFA releases. Live action keeps the the one it has now and Pixar keeps the one it has now as well.

It's in front of Dinosaur, behind Curse of the Black Pearl, Theatrical version of Narnia. And a bunch of other live action disney films I think

It's on the 1-Disc and 2-Disc Collector's Edition of "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe" and probably many others, just not that I know.

It was behind/in front of pretty much every live action Disney movie from Disney's The Kid through The Shaggy Dog (2006).
Also, isn't there, like, three posts on this same subject?
Hmm,

While I think the new logo is pretty and cool, I gotta say that I really like the old classic logo. If you ask me, they should keep that logo for their animated releases.

Is that true!?

That makes me
even more excited for
Meet the Robinsons!
PS: People, don't forget that we should also be getting a classic Disney short in front of
Meet the Robinsons!

I loved the original blue logo (as you might've guessed from my avatar) too bad it's gone.
Could anybody tell me why Disney is so inconsistent with its logos? For example, The Many Adventures Of Winnie The Pooh has the original Buena Vista text at the beginning. Pinocchio (the R2 version) has the RKO text. But Bambi and Cinderella have the Disney castle at the beginning (I'm beginning to wonder if it's a Platinum Edition thing) Does Snow White has the logo, or the RKO text at the beginning?

As we mentioned about the original blue logo, I also found an interesting one. It's the original Walt Disney Pictures logo with powdered white castle. This was taken from the movie "The Black Cauldron". This logo is ultra rare, and it's an unique find. This was a few years before the logo was tweakened in the early 90's with a later version with a blue castle instead of white except the word "Pictures" is in blue text.

I didn't see this mentioned previously...Don't forget the Walt Disney Pictures logo from the early 90's when it was simply the words in blue capitol letters on a black background without the castle or any movement. It appeared before White Fang, Mighty Joe Young, and others. I thought it was quite classy and dramatic.

I don't like the new one, I think it looks like a commercial.

I'm guessing that's the new logo for feature animation that's debuting with Meet the Robinsons. It's very classy looking, but I find it ironic how feature animation gets a more low-key, mature logo than the live-action films do. I hope the image of Mickey changes to portray different Disney characters, otherwise it'll look a tad dull. It makes me wonder if "When You Wish Upon A Star" will be played over this like with everything else.
