Hello there!

Kari Wahlgren is a voice actress, and her website [www.kariwahlgren.net] mentions her latest castings and movies.

I found these 2 bits interesting (sorry if they've been posted before)

- Disney’s upcoming direct-to-DVD movie, tentatively entitled “Fairies Trilogy 1: A Forbidden World” will feature Kari in the role of Harmony, a precocious teen fairy.

- Wahlgren is cast as Alana, the older sister to Ariel, in Disney's upcoming animated feature "The Little Mermaid III." The direct-to-DVD release starring the voice talents of Sally Field and Jodi Bensen is set to be released in 2007/ 2008.

So is “Fairies Trilogy 1: A Forbidden World” the now renamed Tinkerbell movie or another Fairies movie in production?? Even if it is the Tink movie, it is quite interesting that there will be a trilogy! I wonder if they'll be continues (ie no ending like LOTR until the 3rd one) or just called a trilogy as they all will feature the same characters. But then again, why limit the franchise with only a trilogy of Fairy movies.... interesting - i though I should share!

and the other bit is the voice actress herself confirming on her site that Sally Field is indeed in Mermaid III, so the rumors of Ariel's mother being in the prequel are true!

Well,
1. So so so so so so so glad they changed the name!
2. Disney announced that it would be a trilogy a long time ago.
3. I've known about the Sally Field thing for awhile, but I'm glad it's been confirmened again.
4. Thanks for the info!

My guess is that it's going to be a new "Fairies" DVD series, similar to Enchanted Tales.

Very interesting. I do kind of wonder, if it is for Tinker Bell, and not some other dvd franshise. In any case, its a great name!

And yes, Sally Field is now officially confirmed to be TLMIII. (That made my day!)

Thanks for the heads up, Tk2! :)

No, they said Tinkerbell would be the first in a series of four movies, each of which center around one of the four main faries. If there's a trilogy, it's either than they've changed the amount of films or a new franchise, a la Enchanted Tales, like someone said.

I think, I read at Jimhill that there would be a singular movie as "appetizer" and then - when the audience got used to it - there would be a trilogie. So maybe this is the second movie.

I just read in the hollywood reporter the other day that the tinker bell movie is the first time that tinker bell would be a speaking character in any of the animated films and that Britney Murphy is provideing her voice.
