Hello! I saw this topic on another messageboard, and thought it might be fun to discuss here. I saw Cinderella when it was re-released on VHS in the late 90's. She was my first and only animated crush.

Belle. Of course when I got older that changed drastically....

Aladdin. Something about his eyes. Or maybe his eyebrows.
I still think he's hot, some 13 years later, but now there's Jim from "Treasure Planet" to contend with. I just find Joseph Gordon-Levitt hot in any configuration, truth be told.
If I had to pick a woman, it'd be Belle.

I'm guessing, then, that she's not quite as attractive in her jim-jams or her peasant clothes.

As a child, most definitely Jasmine. But now I've moved on to Ariel. Mm-mm!
Ew, what am I saying?! These are cartoon characters!

I agree completly. I constantly make fun of my anime obsessed fans who say so and so is so sexy. I'm like they're ink and paper, not flesh and bone... They can't be hot.
But there is one Disney Character I am rather fond of regardless. It's my dirty little secret.

What do you mean childhood?
Belle of course!
But I have to say I have a thing for Disney Princesses in general.
1. Belle
2. Ariel
3. Aurora
4. Jasmine
5. Cinders

I have a ton of animated dreamgirls, including many Disney girls.
When I was very little, I had it bad for two ladies in particular, off the top of my head: Snow White and Dorothy as portrayed by Judy Garland. I still find Judy hot as Dorothy and in her black and white stuff, but not in any of her later stuff by any means. I still am into Snow White too, but she's low on my list.
My highest toon obsessions at the moment are Ariel (ever since she came out I've been obsessed) and Tink (started getting obsessed with her probably around the same time, give or take a year). I LOVE those two girls more than any other, except one who is tied with them: Sailor Moon. Closely behind those three are Kim Possible, Belle, Cinderella, and maybe a few other non-Disney girls, all in a tie. And, of course, there are more after those.
As for human crushes, growing up, I've had a few I'd rather not mention because they are has beens or whatever. Maybe I just don't like the women they turned out to be, ha. However, some I will mention are: gymnast Dominique Moceanu, Christina Ricci, Kirsten Dunst, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Rachael Leigh Cook, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Reese Witherspoon, and many more (but those are the main ones). Had it really bad for Ricci and Moceanu, even though I usually lean towards blondes and redheads today, ha. I also had it really bad for Brandy Brown, from the 90's Mickey Mouse Club, ha. I met her once when I was crushing on her, just by chance, in a hotel in Texas. She let me take a picture of her, which is kinda weird and probably creepy for her, as opposed to asking if I could take a pic WITH her, but no one else was around to take it. My most recent crush was for Hilary Duff, which seems to have cooled down a bit, but it's highly likely that it just seems that way because she hasn't been on TV every five seconds lately and went through that horribly skinny phase that was downright scary in Cheaper By the Dozen 2. I have some other crushes brewing, but I'll keep them to myself for now. Of course, there are a ton of celeb girls I dig A LOT, like Kristen Kreuk, Jayma Mays, and so on, and so on...

eh, why not? they are drawn to be attractive. often times by guys. and guys know what guys like, so they are able to design characters who they find attractive. (the same could be said for the other way around too for male characters I guess)

Yeah. To me, that mindset is like people who say cartoons are just for kids, and Disney in general, which are real pet peeves of mine!

I didn't really have a crush as a kid. I just watched the movies. To me, whether the characters happened to be good looking or not had nothing to do with it. Now that I'm older, Jim Hawkins and Hercules really appeal to me. As for the girls, Ariel is definitely the most beautiful. It's the hair.

I always had a crush on Ariel. Actually it might be just because she had red hair and so did I. I liked Madeline and Hercules, too (as movies). So, that's probaly why.
