Ultimate Disney Secret Santa - WISH LIST Thread

Okay, MMB essentially beat me to the punch by starting a thread today. But not by much - I was planning on starting this Wish List thread today anyway. Since I think listing all the DVDs you have is a bit much - though a link to your list would probably prevent repurchases - but so will this.
Here's the deal - put together a small list of things you'd like to get (but don't expect to get for Christmas) for your Secret Santa to consider. Your Secret Santa can choose to get you something from this list, or can simply use this information to get you something different that they think you'd like and don't have.
The maximum amount to spend on the person that you get is $20 - it's flexible, of course, but we all have financial demands, and so essentially one DVD, CD, book or something around that price should be doable. Just keep it in mind when you post your lists.
Thanks a bunch to all who are participating. This should really be fun - I anticipate sending out your assignments by this weekend. So, use this thread to post your wish lists!

IMPORTANT: Before you post in this thread, send an e-mail to
santa@ultimatedisney.com with:
1) Your name & address
2) What holiday you celebrate
3) Your forum screenname
These are going to be randomly assigned by this weekend, so if you're on the fence, you have to decide. I'll send out your assignments and give further details in e-mails sometime over the weekend.
Thanks!

Oooh this secret santa thing sounds like so much fun!
Ok here's a few things I came up with!
-Mulan Gold collection dvd
-Finding Nemo dvd
-Princess collection cd
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/ ... /ref=nosim
-Little Mermaid "Play" set
http://disney.store.go.com/DSSectionPag ... iel&Page=5
-Disney Store gift certificate is a nice idea too
Also this may sound odd but perhaps a tiny extra thing could be the Mcdonalds Koda toy. I think it's a spinning top. I really want one, but the 3 Mcdonald's near me sold out before I even got to see the movie.

Hmmm... let me think here...
- Gift Certificates are always nice... so a gift certificate to Amazon.com or Best Buy or The Disney Store might be nice
- Darn this is hard, I've been sitting infront of my computer for like 15 minutes and can't really think of anything else at this time... So I might have to add a few ideas later on...
- Here is a list of OOP DVD's that I don't expect to get, but if you have some magical way of getting a hold of one for cheap or have an extra one, or even one that is used but still in great condition and works perfectly:
- Mulan (Gold)
- **Tarzan CE**
- *The Complete Goofy*
I'll try to come up w/ a few more ideas, but if I can't any of the above listed items would be nice
Oh and this is to anyone - If you have a blue Band for your Mickey in Black and White tin, and wouldn't mind parting w/ it, please contact me
Edited to add:
Cinderella Soundtrack
Quest for Camelot soundtrack
Something cool or interesting from your country (for non-US residents only)
Thanks in advance I'm sure I'll like what ever I recieve!

This is pretty hard. I thought oh, I'll make a list, then sat down and was stumped. Well, here is what I could come up with.
As Prince said, Gift Certificates are always nice for Amazon, Best Buy, Suncoast. But as for other items I could always use DVDs. Here are some I am missing to date.
Escape from Witch Mountain, Return to Witch Mountain, Tarzan CE,
Bugs Life CE, Roger Rabbit Vista Series, and Frank & Ollie, The Apple Dumpling Gang.
As for other items, I really like Disney CDs and the Mickey's Christmas Carol Toys they have out now.
Hope this helps.

As stated earlier, Gift certificates are always good. I live near a fry, Best Buy, and walmart. Amazon is okay as well, or from the Disney movie Club.
I have a few DVD's that are on my wish list: (in no particular order)
1. Melody Time
2. Make Mine Music
3. Jungle Book 2
4. Inspector Gadget 2
5. Great Mouse Detective
6. Tower of Terror
7. Santa Clause 2
8. Straight Story
9. Christmas Story (2 disc)
10. M*A*S*H SEASON 5
and three books that I would love to add to my library:
1. Love at the Heart of Things: A Biography of Douglas V. Steer by E. Glenn Hinson
2. The Angry Christian: A Theology of Care and Counseling by Andrew Lester
3. Hope in Pastoral Care and Counseling by Andrew Lester
Hope this helps!

Alrighty - here's a list of DVDs that I've put on the back-burner; stuff I probably won't buy myself in the next two months. These are all single-discers that range from about $12 to $25 retail price at Amazon... but I don't mind if you get 'em used (off the Amazon Marketplace, or somesuch...), cheaper that way. ^_^
Also, I'll reiterate what's already been said on this thread - gift certificates/gift cards to Best Buy, Suncoast, or Barnes & Noble are always appreciated.
These are linked to Amazon, just in case - or whatever. O_o Click 'em! Have some linky fun!
And don't worry - I took all the box sets I want
out of this list!

And there were quite a few, too... LOL

*gasp!* I know, there aren't any Disney discs on there. But I've those covered myself, pretty much.
And just for reference, here's my
list of DVDs that I already have. ^_^

I have now placed all the DVDs that I have in my signature at the bottom of all my posts.
If my secret santa desides to buy me a DVD, I would love it if he/she bought a movie that they liked, and wanted me to have. (and that I already do not have ). I have so many Disney movies that I loved when I was a little boy, and I would possibily get one of those for the one I get.
If it should be a book, just let it be one about movies, or Disney in particular. Maybee if you have a book that you think that I should have you can choose that one.
I think that it gets a little more personal if the choice of gift is something that is related to the person giving it.

Like many, I am very uncertain about my wants. However as a little side note, I am a very frequent traveler. I love all things with the world and maps.

Now on to the DVD's...
-LOTR Return of the King DVD
-Jim Henson's The Storyteller DVD
-ROBIN HOOD PRINCE OF THEIVES (SE) DVD
-Oliver & Company DVD
I also have a list of my DVD Collection at
http://www.dvdaficionado.com/dvds.html?cat=1&id=swisssr
Additional information, I thoroughly enjoy magic and fantasy type films (i.e. LOTR, Legend, Labyrinth, Dark Crystal) . So if any I do not have, that you enjoy or think I would, why not.
P.S. While "Krull" is not on my list, it's on order. And not to spoil any Holiday joy, however I only do new sealed.

Luke I just shot you an email man, Ive been pretty consumed this past week so I havent really had much time to browse the forums. Let me know that you got my email though.
As for my wishlist...
Hmmm...
If anyone would somehow come accross that Dic C.O.P.S. dvd release in a Wal-Mart bargain bin somewhere that would seriously make my holiday!
Umm, what else...
*** Alvin & The Chipmunks: A Chipmunk's Christmas (www.Chipmunks.com) - Since they don't ship internationally (i.e. to Canada), this would be a great holiday surprise! * hint, hint ;}
direct link
- Frank & Ollie: Special Edition
- Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory: 30th Anniversary Edition Widescreen
- Bob Dylan - Don't Look Back: Collector's Edition
- Definitive Jux Presents: The Revenge Of The Robots
- The Great Muppet Caper
- Fargo: Special Edition
I'd probably list some cd's/records too but nobody would know what the hell Im talking about..
(I just edited my list, I pre-ordered one of the items and purchased another from Amazon this afternoon... I couldn't wait) :}

I know this is really nothing to do with me, being as I'm not in the scheme, but don't certificates spoil the fun? I mean, you may as well spend $20 on yourself and call it quits?

I was thinking the samething

Part of the fun is getting a gift in the mail, and as I've stated previously, a human touch (i.e. greeting card) is very welcomed. I don't know if I like the idea of "just" getting a plain Amazon.com shipment either. However I don't want my Secret Santa to get annoyed with me over it

I will appreciate whatever comes my way!!

I suppose I should post something even though it feel extremely awkward to talk about only things I want on this forum.
Of course, the obvious place would be
my amazon.com wishlist. I also have a list of wanted DVDs in my DVD list (link in my signature) which are actually listed in order of importance. And I think I covered my lists of interests in my website links (or that was what I was going for anyway

).
