Wanted Page devoted to cumulative known DVD problems

I'm a big fan of this site and Disney movies in general. I also have found useful information in the General Discussion forum regarding DVDs that were not quite up to par quality-wise (e.g. TLA Legacy Vol 1 ~ color issue and Vol 4 ~ aspect ratio). I have followed those threads and determined I have bad discs in both of my personal sets. I've heard some comments from others that some previous WD Treasures sets had similiar issues where Disney replaced their discs. It would be greatly appreciated if there was some way of quickly navigating the forum entries with a checklist type page so that one could quickly see whether or not any quality issues are involved with a given DVD where you could click a link to go directly to the thread covering that defect. Yes, I am aware of a search function, but I'm really hoping for something more user friendly considering the quantity of titles I would need to look up.
The reality is unless you're informed that something like an aspect ratio is wrong, you may just accept that is how it is supposed to be,when the whole point of these collection-type discs is to get them with the original artistic vision. Knowing when you are short-changed would be very helpful especially when Disney takes corrective action. Thanks in advance if this idea can somehow be incorporated into this site or forum.

Usually the reviews would note what material is cut/presented wrong on the DVDs, but I think a cumulative list is actually a good idea. Hopefully for now this will do for now, and hopefully it's accurate as it's all from memory! Didn't include the TLA's since you're already aware of it, lol.
Problems/Alterations on Disney DVDs:
Walt Disney Treasures: Disneyland, USA - Problem
-A small amount of material is cut from two episodes, one featuring the Mouseketeers and the other featuring the Enchanted Tiki Room.
Walt Disney Treasures: Davy Crockett - Problem
-An advertised interview with Buddy Ebsen is nowhere on the disc.
Walt Disney Treasures: Disney Rarities - Problem
-A couple of the widescreen shorts are cropped slightly (and it doesn't help that they're non-anamorphic either!)
Dinosaur: Collector's Edition - Problem
-Due to the complex mastering of the second disc, it will not play on specific brand players, and Disney has issued a list of what DVD players are not compatible with the disc.
Fantasia: 60th Anniversary Edition (and in Fantasia Anthology) - Problem/Alteration
-The Pastoral Symphony segment is cropped/zoomed in during a few segments to remove the black centaurette, Sunflower. One scene was digitally edited to remove her (since early pan & scan efforts looked abysmal)
-Because the original Deems Taylor audio couldn't be found for several pieces of footage, all his material was re-dubbed with someone else (can't remember who).
Saludos Amigos: Gold Collection - Problem/Alteration
-Scenes with Goofy smoking have been digitally altered to remove the cigarette
Make Mine Music: Gold Collection - Problem/Alteration
-Screen credit for The King's Men is blacked out in the beginning of the film, and the entire segment of "The Martins and the Coys" is cut out entirely.
-Digital editing once again as a female's bosom is reduced in "All the Cats Join In"
Melody Time: Gold Collection - Problem/Alteration
-Pecos Bill loses his cigarette by way of digital editing.
Sleeping Beauty: Special Edition - Alteration
-Rather than be presented in its 2.55:1 aspect ratio (from the Technirama 70mm print), it's presented in a 35mm 2.35:1 aspect ratio.
Mary Poppins: 40th Anniversary Edition - Alteration
-Presented in a 1.66:1 ratio as opposed to the previous DVD which contained a 1.85:1 ratio
The Fox and the Hound: Gold Collection - Problem/Alteration
-The aspect ratio haunts us and refuses to tell us if it's 1.33:1 open-matte or pan & scan from 1.66:1 or 1.75:1
The Little Mermaid: Platinum Edition - Problem/Alteration
-The "erect" priest has been digitally "corrected"
Beauty and the Beast: Platinum Edition - Problem/Alteration
-The Film presents the work-in-progress edition, the original theatrical edition, and the extended Special Edition with the new number "Human Again"
-Original Theatrical Version is merely the IMAX enhancement minus the Human Again sequence and the changed backgrounds for a couple shots (due to the addition of Human Again)
Aladdin: Platinum Edition - Problem/Alteration
-Opening lyrics remain in their edited form ("Where it's flat and immense and the heat is intense" instead of "Where they cut off your ears if they don't like your face")
-Aladdin's controversial "Good Kitty, take off and go!" line has been removed. Some people ridiculously thought he was saying "Good teenagers take off their clothes".
The Lion King: Platinum Edition - Problem/Alteration
-90 minutes of a bad movie
-Alligatores are animated differently during "I Just Can't Wait To Be King"
-The blowing leaves and dust of "S-F-X" (which some people ridiculously thought was "SEX") have been digitally altered
Pocahontas: 10th Anniversary Edition - Alteration
-Presents both an extended edition with "If I Never Knew You" and the original theatrical edition
Mulan: Special Edition - Alteration
-Presented in its originally animated 1.66:1 ratio as opposed to the previous DVD which had the theatrical 1.85:1 ratio
Classic Cartoon Favorites: Volume 9, Classic Holiday Stories - Problem/Alteration
-"The Small One" still has the edited lyrics ("We work a little harder if we must" instead of "We only cheat a little if we must")

This is a great idea for a thread!
I received the Collector's Edition of "Dinosaur" from the DMC- I didn't know people had problems with it, so I need to check out Disc 2.
Original Theatrical Version is merely the IMAX enhancement minus the Human Again sequence and the changed backgrounds for a couple shots (due to the addition of Human Again)
What has been changed in the Original Theatrical Version, then, from the real original version, if it doesn't contain the new sequence or backgrounds?
Today, I was sitting on the floor outside of the classroom I had class in the next period. I was reading an issue of "Disney Magazine". I heard a girl mention Disney, and she and a boy were talking about it. I scooted over to them. The girl has a working knowledge of everything Snopes.com mentions about Disney. But, she said that the "SEX" in TLK is real (she says that it's a lowercase E, but it's not...), and she said that she heard or read an interview with Scott Weigner (the voice of Aladdin), and said that he really did read "Good teenagers, take off your clothes", which I don't believe at all...but arguing with her was getting nowhere. I think she thinks that it really wasn't the priest's knee we saw. I was mad. She and I could be good friends (she even loves Hanson), but this is aggrivating me. How do I let her know that what she thinks is wrong? I know this is off-topic, but this thread deals with those types of things...
Thanks

Escapay,
Thank you, this is the type of info I wanted to see. Interesting that no mention of the troubled WDT Swamp Fox - I've heard several people say they got new ones. Would love to see this information get its own tab that can be updated going forward as new issues are discovered. Fingers crossed!

When the film was being prepped for its IMAX re-release, the animators went back and did many a touch ups, providing extra details and sharpening the image. Colors were given a makeover as well, not as drastic as Cinderella, just making it brighter.
I don't have any VHS vs. DVD comparisons, but the same treatment was done for both The Lion King and Aladdin, and mikemgmve posted a page from the Aladdin book in the collector's box set
here.
The Original Theatrical Edition (proper) is present on the DVD, if only for a certain amount of time. For the DVD, instead of providing the actual original theatrical edition, they took the IMAX-ized edition, and used it for all three versions. During the branching (which isn't really branching the way Disney authored the disc), everything from Human Again up until Belle leaves the castle to find her father has been redone in the backgrounds. Since the objects were cleaning up the place, they had to clean up the otherwise-messy backgrounds during several shots.
With the Original Theatrical Edition (DVD), they simply removed the Human Again sequence, but kept the messy backgrounds, proof that there was restoration on the Original Theatrical Edition (proper). I posted comparison caps from the DVD
here.

No problem! I'm not aware of any problems with Swamp Fox, though, what are they? I don't have that one yet on DVD, and couldn't find any mention in a quck skim of the review.

I knew about the backgrounds being changed...but, in that screenshot of the Beast getting a bath, was the broken mirror in the "original" version on the PE? I guess I'm too lazy and think you're very smart and you'll know the answer before I go looking for that scene...thanks Escapay!
And, whenever I try out Disc 2 of "Dinosaur", if it doesn't work, what do I do? I'm hoping it works...I barely know how to turn on the DVD player, though, so I'm hesitating to try (it's plugged into all sorts of buttony-things).

Care to elaborate on that, Al?
Interesting thread idea, btw. This could be very helpful.
Cheers,
