Which Platinum Editions will be released in 2008?

Hi guys.
I'm having trouble keeping up with the release schedule of these Platinum Editions. Some websites post contradicting information regarding the titles that will be released in the future of the Platinum Edition line.
Peter Pan is the next one. After that, it's Jungle Book. Which ones will follow? I've heard Snow White is going to be released in 2008. Any information confirming this?

I seriously doubt Snow White's coming back until 2010 at the earliest.

I think Pinocchio is 99 % locked for release as the first Platinum Edition in 2008. I can't wait for it!
The 2nd Platinum Edition is still open then? Heard numerous times that 101 Dalmations keeps getting bumped back.

Next interview posted here (and by here, I mean the front page) should shed some light on the subject.

Luke, do you mean the interview with the director of "Cinderella III"? Because I just read that, and he didn't mention any Platinum Editions...or do you mean the next interview?

He means the next one, with Dave Bossert, which is planned for publication soon, I do believe.

That was old news, there is some newer news that says otherwise

He already did (well, Aaron did). Aaron believes it'll feature Dave Bossert who is responsible for marketing. So now you could write to him and ask, if he could tell you what the next PEs will be. But in about 1 month we'll know the next two. Jungle Book, and the next one, since they're gonna be announced when Peter Pan comes out. I uess they'll have it there somewhere in the DVD inserts.

Well, Disney doesn't always feature the next two Platinum Editions. If you look on the Cindy DVD, this is true. On the LatT DVD, only TLM was featured. And on the TLM DVD, only PP was shown. So it isn't for certain whether we will see what is coming or not.

I recently went to the Disney Store and asked about which PEs would be released when, and they very kindly gave me this little list:
Oct. 2007: The Jungle Book
Feb. 2008: 101 Dalmatians
Oct. 2008: Sleeping Beauty
Feb. 2009: Pinocchio
Oct. 2009: Snow White
2010: Lion King
2011: Fantasia and Fantasia 2000
2012: Beauty and the Beast
2013: Aladdin
I'm not sure if these are up to date, as they do not correspond exactly to UD's list on the main site.
Bear in mind I live in the UK, so the information could well be old info that has not yet been updated by the decision-makers in America. But it did get me wondering and hoping that 101 Dalmatians has been brought to an earlier time than before (after being pushed back so many times!).

On TLM both PP and JB were shown. I hope they're not gonna give us only JB which we already know about.

I seriously hope Snow White wont be re-issued as the october platinum edition. It's been what 8 or 9 years since 101 Dalmatians was released last? And then it was only a limited issue so the disc was terrible. It was also one of the originally announced platinums, so I think it deserves its first release before Snow White's second.
Also next year is Snow White's 70th anniversary. That should be celebrated somehow. I'm hoping for some sort of gift set, but that probably wont surface. I just don't want a "70th Anniversary: Platinum Edition" for it. Unless it is added as a third Platinum for the year. With it already restored and ample amount of bonuses available there really shouldn't be a heck of a lot needed to be done for a release, so I don't see why they can't add a third platinum release per year.
I really want Pinocchio and 101 Dalmatians for 2008. They are the only 2 on the Platinum schedule that don't have great 2-disc sets already. They really deserve their chance to shine on DVD.

I would actually be content with a cinematic release of Snow White for the 70th anniversary. I only ever saw it once in the cinema, when I was very young, but I do remember the experience very well. In fact, all the old classics should be shown in the cinema more frequently (rather an outrageous demand, I know, but a compromise can probably be met).
A detailled book on the art and production of Snow White would also not go amiss.
I agree about Pinocchio and 101 Dalmatians.

I really want a Sleeping Beauty PE. The only DVD we have here is a freaking Pan & Scan! Nót worth buying! The CE is very hard to come by now, so a PE would be great for me.
I'm not to keen on Pinocchio, because it's one of my least favourite movies and we already have a pretty good DVD edition here (why the remastered edition wasn't released in America is beyond me). I don't have Snow White yet, but I don't really care for that movie, so I'd rather see 101 Dalmations od Fantasia before that.
