Disney has put up its awards consideration web site and has put forward its big pictures of the year for numerous awards.
Here's a list of all of the movies I could find that they've put up for consideration and under which catagories. This list is NOT actulal Academy nominations, just what Disney is asking them (and other awards) to consider. Academy nominations are due January 27, I think, but don't quote me on that. Also, since there's a whole shebang of stuff up for consideration I only bothered to type up the stuff that was or will be released under the Disney name here. (TouchStone's Open Range, for example, was put up for lots of award consideration but I'm not listing that here.) To see what they've put up for consideration from their other branches, click on the link above. Anyway, here we go with the list.

THE HAUNTED MANSION could scared up nominations for

- HOLES, best adapted screenplay
- James Cameron's GHOSTS OF THE ABYSS (IMAX 3-D), Best Doccumentary.
- DESTINO, Best Short Film.
I think that's pretty much all. While I'm not sure what kind of chances some of these have at some of their contended catagories, GOOD LUCK to all of the movies in their respective catagories (except Piglet's Big Movie.) Exciting year for awards, don't you think? What do you think these movies have a chance of being nominated for and/or winning?
