				Blizzard!!!

There is a blizzard outside my window right now. We already got 16 inches of snow, the wind is blowing 45 MPH and there is a huge 4 foot snow drift at my front door. It's going to continue all through the night and part of the day tomorrow. After the blizzard is over we should expect 24-36 inches of snow. Already our Governor has declared a disaster emergency in the city of Denver and I don't know about Fort Collins (where I live) but the National Guard is on stand by if it's necessary to devise a search and rescue.
It's pretty exciting, I don't think I'll be going into work tomorrow and hopefully it clears up soon so I can get provisions because right now I can't get my car out of the drive way.
Who ever dreamt of a white Christmas certainly got it.

Well I sure didn't, it's gonna be 80 degrees on Christmas...
Man, Denver's been getting SLAMMED with the white stuff. Allen Iverson is supposed to play with his team against our own Orlando Magic and can't get here because of the blizzard's in Colorado.
Lucky,

I may not be in Denver, but I'm in the blizzard here as well, it'll even continue tomorrow.
So much for vacation.

I know! Why couldn't it snow like this 2 weeks ago when school was still going on? I wouldn't have to go to school but it's not like it really would of mattered because most of my classes were cancled anyways due to getting ready for our finals.

I would love to have a blizzard that lasted a couple of weeks, with a few caveats:
No one loses heat/electricity/water (or heck, cable & internet, too...)
Everyone has all the provisions they need. This would include a nice stack of books, DVDs, and games...
No one loses their job or gets a short paycheck because they aren't at work.
No one freezes to death, or has a wreck because they were on the road...
No one has to work/drive in it (of course, this is a fantasy... Emergency workers would need to go to work, because people would still get sick or have accidents, even if they weren't related to the blizzard... Also, I am sure there are some businesses who MUST have someone there.)

Well, we were supposed to have a 60-80% chance of a white Christmas where I live (CT) on Tuesday, but today it just rained, and, if anything, it will rain on Christmas

. I wanna move to Maine or Colorado so I can have a white Christmas!

At least in my lifetime I've always had a white christmas....we haven't even had two inches of snow so far this winter.

Some wierd weather patterns are hitting this area.

As far as I-25 and 287 they're open but the road conditions are probably real hazardous so just be careful when you try to get back to Colorado. I would say that you shouldn't attempt to do the speed limit (75 MPH), instead go 50 MPH or under and you should be fine. Over 3000, flights were cancled so there were a lot of people either stuck or couldn't get in Colorado. It was one for the record books I can assure you that.
