While I enjoyed the first Pirates of the Caribbean movie (and parts of the second) I bought the first DVD solely for the excerpt from the Wonderful World of Disney special from Pirates of the Caribbean to Tomorrowland. I have the full special on an old video tape taped off Canada's Family Channel airing of it in the late 80s when I was a kid but wanted it in better quality (wish the full special would be released as a Disney Treasure or something)

Anyway it was later that the 3 disc special edition came out and I was a bit miffed--could someone tell me as a fan of the of the ride what exras ont he 3rd disc not on the 2 disc set actually show rare footgae of the ride?

Also I never even bothered to watch Haunted Mansion but was wondering if the DVD had any similar classic clips of the ride as bonuses?

The reviews should answer your questions about both DVDs

<a href="http://www.ultimatedisney.com/haunted.html">The Haunted Mansion</a>

In short, Yes to both.

Doh thanks so much for that

So the Haunted House ride bits on the DVD is only 12 mins--does it have anything rare or that I prob haven't seen before?

Sounds liek there's not much new on the 3rd Pirates disc re the ride tho it woul dbe nice to have the history feature on DVD and not just DVDrom

Well the Haunted Mansion bonus features is made up from a bunch of clips, of various interviews that discuss the origins of the attraction, quite interesting really, there's a few clips of the ride, a few secrets of how they did some stuff and a few clips from the 10th Anniversary episodes of WWoC.

As for PotC, Yes the the 15 minute featurette is very interesting, but was included on the second disc as a dvdrom feature, stupid Disney.
